Today was my first visit to this ophthalmology office, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience.

From the moment I arrived, the front desk receptionist/medical assistant showed incredible patience, compassion, professionalism, and kindness. There was an issue with my referral, and for about 10 to 15 minutes she worked tirelessly trying to help me figure it out. I was frustrated and overwhelmed because I couldn’t access or send the referral from my phone, and honestly, I was ready to give up and leave.

Instead of brushing me off, she stayed calm, reassuring, and determined to help. She even went ahead and tried to reschedule me for the next day so I wouldn’t lose my appointment altogether. Then, after I left, she personally called me not once but twice. First to offer me an earlier appointment time, and then again to let me know she had successfully located the referral my doctor had sent over. Because of her attentiveness and dedication, I was able to come back and be seen the same day.

That level of care meant so much to me.

The ophthalmologist was also wonderful, professional, thorough, and made me feel comfortable during my very first eye appointment experience.

The entire office treated me with kindness and respect, and in a world where customer service can sometimes feel rushed or cold, this office truly stood out. We weren't told how long the wait would be, but I think we were seen maybe 30 minutes after getting there? And I was given a rapid finger prick test for HIV that gave results right away. But afterward I peed in a cup, got a mouth swab, and had blood drawn, and I wasn't told what all those were for. I'm assuming it was gonorrhea and chlamydia, but usually it's either urine or blood draw not both? But I'm not mad at it! I appreciate how thorough they are :)Results come in through the Healthvana portal, which is appreciated. I know some places will just call only if results are positive, and don't reach out at all if negative. So having it in a portal is just another layer of peace of mind :)“
