Makes it easy to get tested together with a new partner for ease of mind :)Communication was a bit lacking, not in a way that was a mega problem for me. We weren't told how long the wait would be, but I think we were seen maybe 30 minutes after getting there? And I was given a rapid finger prick test for HIV that gave results right away. But afterward I peed in a cup, got a mouth swab, and had blood drawn, and I wasn't told what all those were for. I'm assuming it was gonorrhea and chlamydia, but usually it's either urine or blood draw not both? But I'm not mad at it! I appreciate how thorough they are :)Results come in through the Healthvana portal, which is appreciated. I know some places will just call only if results are positive, and don't reach out at all if negative. So having it in a portal is just another layer of peace of mind :)“

“Dr. Brian Kirsh is the best doctor possible. He is intelligent, a good listener, courteous, knowledgeable, and very funny. He is personable too. He is a breadth of fresh air in the status quo of assembly line health care. You wouldn’t feel like another case if you choose him as your gastroenterologist. He is also very thorough and never dismisses your concern. He has high integrity, gives his honest opinion, and never overtreats you. I highly recommend Dr. Brian Kirsh, tho I want you to go easy on making appointments with him. I don’t want you to back up his availability so I can’t get in to see him when I need to.

This entire office stopped taking my insurance a couple of years ago, so I had to find another gastroenterologist. I was sad. The other gastroenterologists I saw were subpar, and this is me being nice. The logistics side were also horrible. For example, I made an appointment with a GI at Medstar Washington hospital center. They canceled my appointment without notifying me. Horrible horrible service. I am glad I changed my insurance and now I am back with my preferred doctor.

The administrative staff in this office are also nice and thorough. Better than other doctor’s offices. I like their new office in DC, with windows and everything. I used to go to their old office location. That place didn’t have windows and had a red decor with low ceiling. That suffocated me ?“

Today was my first visit to this ophthalmology office, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience.

From the moment I arrived, the front desk receptionist/medical assistant showed incredible patience, compassion, professionalism, and kindness. There was an issue with my referral, and for about 10 to 15 minutes she worked tirelessly trying to help me figure it out. I was frustrated and overwhelmed because I couldn’t access or send the referral from my phone, and honestly, I was ready to give up and leave.

Instead of brushing me off, she stayed calm, reassuring, and determined to help. She even went ahead and tried to reschedule me for the next day so I wouldn’t lose my appointment altogether. Then, after I left, she personally called me not once but twice. First to offer me an earlier appointment time, and then again to let me know she had successfully located the referral my doctor had sent over. Because of her attentiveness and dedication, I was able to come back and be seen the same day.

That level of care meant so much to me.

The ophthalmologist was also wonderful, professional, thorough, and made me feel comfortable during my very first eye appointment experience.
