“I came to Animal Place Veterinary Hospital to get a second opinion regarding a very tough decision about our cat. It was close to the holidays, and I was having a rough time with the decision. The whole staff was extremely compassionate: from sharing encouraging words, to showing me ways to help my cat be as comfortable as possible at home. I was incredibly lucky to have found them when I did, and I appreciate all the support that they provided.“

Shout out to Stacy at the front desk who was super helpful with setting up the appointment, keeping me informed about what to expect and really just going out of her way to be helpful. Dr. Day presented me with different treatment options, and the experience was overall as good as it could be for when your fur baby is ought of sorts. Highly recommend.“

“The team was on time, pleasant and the cardiologist was very informative and communicative. The team was great with my pet and the clinic seemed to have the best equipment and therapies for the pets.“

“I have been a client of Alpine for 35 years. The veterinarians are skilled, kind, and caring. The same goes for the techs. They are also consistently friendly and efficient. My dog can be a handful to treat, yet the staff seem quite fond of him.“

“The veterinarian was super nice and loved my ball pythons. The lobby is also really cool looking they have several fish tanks. They seem to really care a lot about the animals and live their work.

Edit: This is one of the closest places near Frederick that accepts treatment on snakes. Also this veterinary office tries to make sure your animal is living in the right environment and gets the correct and needed nutrients or equipment. I might switch all my animals here even though it’s a long drive.“

“To be honest, this was the best experience my family has had with a veterinarian practice. (Of course my pup had a great experience too which says a lot!). From the scheduling process, to the appointment itself and follow-up, everything has been great. We came from a different practice, Woodley Gardens made the transition so easy with obtaining all of my dogs prior records from multiple practices which made everything so much easier. My dog has inflammatory bowel disease and is under very specific care and a special diet because of this. Dr. Lowenthal has already been an amazing help with continuing care for my dog's disease and also helping us maintain communication with our dog's internist. I highly recommend this practice!“

“Fairland Animal Hospital has taken care of our three rescue adopted Miniature Pinschers since their first visit after adoption. Te staff and veterinarians care about four-legged family members and treat them with love and respect. The veterinarians are able to explain problems that surface and what treatment options are available. We highly recommend this practice.“

“Thank you so much for squeezing Captain Morgan in. Dr. Alcott was great, I really appreciate the time he took with us and explaining things. I will try to keep him from eating stuff from outside which is almost close to impossible. It took a good week and he finished his medication and is back to "normal".

Thanks again to the front desk staff and Patrick was very helpful (as usual) answering my reply texts since I can't always get to my emails.

“Big shout-out to the Highland Veterinary Hospital team. Today I had to put down my 16 year old dog, and Dr. Gary and his team came all the way out to my house so that he could pass comfortably in a familiar place. They were professional and compassionate throughout the entire process, asking me questions and explaining everything along the way. They handled all paperwork in advance so that I could just be in the moment to say goodbye to my dog. All of our clinic visits have been very pleasant as well, and I never feel like they were pushing unnecessary things on me. Highly recommend!“

“The vet and the assistant were kind and knowledgeable, taking good care of my cat. Prices were higher than I expected(maybe it is average in this town), and they recommend all the expensive vaccines. But they explained my options and asked permission before doing anything.“

“This is an excellent vet clinic! I can’t recommend them enough. They have taken good care of our puppy and the staff is all excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they always remember our pup and her quirks. They got her in same day when she had an ear infection. They were also super helpful when she was having some pain/discomfort after her spay and gave her a different medication which is working well for her. Overall, very responsive and helpful clinic. “Dr. Edwards is a wonderful vet who is proactive with pets and her care of our 13-year old beagle has made huge improvements in the health of our pet. She is much more up to date than our former vet on new treatments for arthritis and initiated thyroid medication that has been hugely helpful as well. The opening of her practice 3 years ago has been a great addition to the neighborhood.“
