I do not say this casually: Kelo Spa is one of the best sauna and banya experiences I have had anywhere.
I have been to hundreds of banyas, saunas, bathhouses, and spa circuits around the world, and I built a banya at my own home, so I came in with unusually high standards. Kelo exceeded them.
I spent several exceptional hours here with a friend who lives in the area, and everything was dialed in. The heat was exactly what it should be: serious, clean, enveloping, and properly maintained. The cold plunge was excellent. The steam, sauna rhythm, lounge areas, design, lighting, materials, and overall flow of the space were all handled with real care. Nothing felt accidental or gimmicky. It felt like someone who deeply understands sauna culture built this place.
The design is beautiful without being sterile. Rustic, warm, intentional, and calming. The wood, stone, moss walls, lighting, and seating areas create a space that actually invites you to slow down and stay. It is rare to find a spa that gets both the technical side and the atmosphere right.
The staff were also genuinely friendly and welcoming. No pretension, no awkwardness, no rushed feeling. Just a well-run place with people who seem proud of what they are offering.
Loved the whole experience - first contact, communication about the design, final artwork, and time in the chair chatting with Samma and Molly. Great artists and good human beings. My tattoo healed beautifully with the second skin routine. Super happy overall.

I can’t find a word to thanks every single person in team that provided service to my mom in her last month of her long life. I feel so blessed that I found out about their service, they had been taking care of my mom in most humane and caring way that any provider can do, they even tried to learn even few words of our language to communicate with her and showing their love to her. If I didn’t have previous experience with another hospice service , might have thought first choice service was normal, but in compare with not professional services in past for my mom , I could judge how exceptionally the first choice service was. I must thanks Irina for her friendly, flexible welcome to coordinate the service, tanks Aaliah for providing her knowledge and experience and supporting me throughout the the sadness of mom’s very last day , Natalia for her exceptionally daily care and love that she offered to my mom, last not the least her lovely nurse Taylor who brought laugh, love and joy to our during each visit, my mom loved them all and every morning was asking about who / when they will be coming. The staff at First choice helped me bring energy and life back to my mom the way she improved significantly, and as I always wish for her , left us in good condition with the dignity and respect that she deserved . I was visiting my sister from out of state and she had recommended i get a facial from Sabina. It was my very first facial, perfect timing too since I was in the market for one. Let's just say I will continue to get facials back home! Sabina explained each step and she was very knowledgeable on my skin prior to starting. I am day 3 post facial and I look better everyday. I'm a 28 yr old mom of 3 and my face was looking very dull and flat. She also gave me some suggestions on how to better my skin in my daily routine. I did not leave with red, irritated skin. It is difficult to find a stylist of Cris' magnitude, not only in how wonderful she can be professionally speaking but in the connection between client-stylist. For more than a year CRIS has kept my hair exactly the way I like it. She has taken care of every detail in terms of shape, color and texture. He has always given me the best care recommendations and especially every time I have wanted to change something. Every time I visit the salon she does ozone treatments for nutrition, silkiness and more shine in my hair. The room is super divine, excellent music, Cris is the best! He is uniquely open on Mondays and there is almost always metered street parking available. When you enter the building from Sumner Street just walk one flight down the stairs and you are there!! I have virgin Asian hair and I have tried a number of different salons in and outside the Boston area for hair cuts over the past 6 years. I had two endosphere sessions with Alex and had such a positive experience.
I have stage 1 lipedema, so my legs can be pretty sensitive, and Alex was very mindful of that. She was kind and attentive, and always made sure I was comfortable during the procedures. She is also very sweet and pleasant, which made the whole experience feel very good.
As for the treatment itself, my skin felt tighter and smoother even after just one session, and I can definitely see less swelling. I will definitely be coming back because I see real results.

Adario's did a solid, professional job replacing our broken down HVAC. After working hard for three days last week, including Saturday, they came on Sunday and finished up. Overall, they put in a great deal of work in a short period. It is so much more comfortable to be in our house now with the AC taking out the heat and humidity.

Erin, is a superb, experienced Pilates instructor who makes every class both fun and challenging. She methodically talks her students through every position while explaining how each move strengthens, open and stretches each muscle group. I have also met alot of new Pilates friends and highly recommend this Studio.
Both my husband and I have been taking Pilates lessons with Mara for a while and Highly recommend her! She is super professional, have an in depth knowledge of Pilates and other movement type methods. She is also super helpful in situations of specific injuries/sensitivities. Mara is also fun and engaging in her teaching style, being able to pay individual attention even when working in groups.
I saw Jo today for the first time and it was truly magical. I am a Physical Therapist and my whole upper back and neck was pretty locked up from my busy week, and Jo worked her wonders and I left feeling like I could move and breathe again! I will be back and I will be referring lots of patients her way! The space is also super cute and clean!
I’ve been coming here for a year and it’s honestly the best massage spot in the Newton area. The service is always great and I leave feeling very relaxed.
The only downside is that the rooms are often quite cold, which takes away from the experience a bit, I’ve even left feeling under the weather most of the times.
Otherwise, highly recommend.
Marla was amazing! Not only is she kind and honest, but I immediately felt relief with her techniques. I was having so much stress tension in my jaw, as well as extreme dry mouth from it, and she worked my jaw and cranium so well (my head was so sore the next day but in a good way, and I desperately NEEDED it!). I can't wait to go back and have her work on my shoulders/neck. 10/10 recommend!
Amazing massage! I feel a lot lighter and more relaxed, especially in my neck and shoulders, which is the area I had asked to be focused on. Gina is also such a lovely person. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Boston!
Suk is an excellent practitioner. She explains how your session will proceed and the benefits that can be achieved through the use of Accupressure. The facility is very clean, the atmosphere relaxing.
I have seen Lily a few times. I like that Mandarin Spa is small and quaint. Lily is superb - professional, expert and accomodating. I highly recommend!
If you want to get away from the chain massage places, I recommend going here. I got the 1 hr aromatherapy massage and it was great. I plan to return and try the foot reflexology!
The best massage-therapy I ever got! I kept going back to Moon for her awesome therapeutic massage, but was really sad that she left the business after so many years. I am so delighted to find out that she started a new business not too far away in Waltham (Comprehensive Massage).
