“Great experience with Dowling! I had received quotes from 5 different companies; one looked at our job for 5 minutes and left, and the others provided various load sizes but no explanation as to why they recommended that size. Dowling did their due diligence to look at all of our space to calculate the appropriate load size for our unit as well as the ductwork layout (both the vent locations and the duct lines to minimize ceiling impact) so the system is as efficient as it can be. They're willing to explain why they made their recommendation and educate me better, which was important to me considering the investment. Ductwork and installation went smoothly and the technicians worked through a 100+ degree day to get the AC turned on (one tech actually finished our job and left for another at 6pm that same day). Would highly recommend Dowling. They educate, provide reason behind a recommendation, and the pricing is competitive. All well worth it to gain peace of mind that I have the best system and layout for my needs.“

“Peter Leighton is an angel and honest as the day as long! We live in a disposable society where everybody wants to replace everything, but Peter believes in the value of service, maintenance and replacing parts. He had been maintaining our heating system for the past 12 years in West Newbury and I recommended him to an elderly client in Merrrimac who had been getting quotes up to $17,000 for a new heating system. When I arrived to her condo yesterday they were sitting and chatting at her kitchen table. He was explaining how worst case scenario she just needed a new hot water for 3K and he would be happy to maintain the old system. He didn’t even charge her for service call/consult! Don’t know what I’ll do when he retires ?“

“Been a customer of Nick for over 10 years. He did all the plumbing for our two bathroom remodels. He also installed a new boiler and hot water heater. For any unexpected plumbing / heating issue, Nick and his team have been quick to respond. After the Merrimack Valley gas explosions happened in 2018, our water heater stopped venting when it was turned back on. Nick installed a new vent pipe in our chimney. I never knew plumbers even did that work, but he did it -- going up over 30ft on a ladder in the pouring rain.

“The technician, Matt, was amazing. He went above and beyond! My A/C compressor got crushed by an ice dam, so the body was mangled, the top was flattened, and the fan couldn't turn. Most guys would have advised buying a new compressor and walked away.

Matt figured out to get the top off and removed the fan and fan casing. He turned into a sheet metal expert in my driveway and hammered out the top and fan casing. Then he straightened out the body enough to get the top back on, reinstalled the fan / casing, and it works great again! With some creativity and extra effort Matt saved me a ton of money!“

“David's is the BEST! I used Carters in July of 2024 to clean my oil furnace. I have previously used David's Heating & Cooling located in Merrimac, MA. but Carters pricing is much less expensive. Two nights ago I had the fire department at my home for Carbon Monoxide. Not only did the Carters Technician put the incorrect valve on my furnace but he never vacuumed it out. The incorrect valve and the poor quality of work almost killed my family. We were saved by our carbon monoxide detectors and the fire department. Please take this review seriously. Call David's at 978-346-4216 and spend the $300+ to have your furnace cleaned properly. Your lives are worth it! Pierre hands down is the best technician at David's. He's honest, trustworthy and competent. He fixed all our problems for $500. It was well worth it to have peace of mind entering the heating season.“

Russ runs what we need these days. Honest company with solid people. He stands by his work. He had to do my furnace and my central air split back in 2017. His crew did an awesome job and we have kept our oil with him since. Reliable and dependable.

He recently had to find a solution for my central air crapping out in the middle of this heat dome (I hate animals, fried the system). Others would have taken me to town, not Russ. He presented me multiple options with pros and cons. The guy is honest to the T and his whole company runs that way. I appreciate what a rarity Russ and Nibroc are in our world now. “I had several plumbing items that needed to be addressed shortly after purchasing my home. Dan Dunn Plumbing quoted a fair price. All the services worked on by Ryan and Dillon were completed to my satisfaction. They cleaned up after their work was done and everything was spotless.

Coincidently, our washing machine shut-off valve failed two days before their scheduled visit to the house. We had to turn the main off until they arrived. They worked on that first and within the hour, we had water again! No questions asked even though it was not on their work order. I will be using them for all my future plumbing and heating needs.“
