Great company! From a self inflicted “rocky start”, they hung in there and competently, professionally guided us to a completed project that not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Crews worked through rough weather, holidays and all and delivered a completed project that gave us a “new house” feel again! Utility bills haven’t hit yet but i think the estimated 30% reduction in our electric bill might be a little modest according to the increased “comfort level” in our house. Mike and the crew were great from start to finish! They did work for my neighbor so I called for an estimate and they came out a few days later and bid my job at the best price out of 2 other companies I had come out. They took out 2 trees and were fast and efficient and cleaned up the mess after they were done. I would recommend them for any job you might need.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Hands down the best tanning in Lawrence! (the whole surrounding area actually)!! I've been getting spray tans here for 10 years and bed tanning just recently. I have never been left orange/streaky. It lasts so long and smells so good! THE NICEST STAFF TOO!!! Everyone is so welcoming, and it's definitely a great family-like environment here! Every staff member is so personable. (They even remember the regulars' names. I love their small details) I couldn't recommend this salon enough! The workers there are very kind and welcoming to newcomers and returning customers. If it’s your first time getting a tan there they walk you through everything. The only thing that’s a little confusing is their pricing, you should go there and see if they have any deals, if not then you will buy the service in the app.

I got my nails done for the first time ever here for prom!!! I was scared at first because I had no idea what to expect, but Paola is INSANELY AMAZING!!! These nails are stunning and lasted me more than a month with only the loss of two rhinestones out of the whole thing. Yes, only two even though two nails are entirely made of rhinestones, and none of the nails themselves broke or anything and I work with my hands ALL DAY!! I will be rescheduling very soon Paola did my nails absolutely perfect and she's amazing to talk to as well!! :)

I usually don’t post reviews but have been so incredibly impressed with Carmen! When I first met her my hair was a mess after a terrible dye by a previous stylist in another town. I practically threw myself at her sight unseen because my hair was so bad… and I don’t even really care about my hair. She made me an appointment and I decided to go with atypical color-blue. I’d historically been a basic brown for my entire life but wanted to try something out there. My big fear was looking like a cheap box home attempt but man did she come through! She gave me beautiful blue highlights with dark lowlights that look both fresh and edgy but I can also pull off professionally. I get compliments everywhere I go, and every time I come in wanting to try something different she makes it 100 times better than I’d imagined. She is truly an artist. My color also lasts 10-12 weeks and is just as good at the end as the beginning, I kid you not. I cannot recommend this salon enough! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
I've been going to Tish for over 30 years. Started as a freshman in college. I was a travel nurse for several years and got my haircut by many others. I always came back to Tish! She is excellent and giving the style you want. And when you're not sure, she has suggestions that fit your lifestyle and your asthetic. Plus she is a wonderful human being.

There is a puzzling divergence between the few unhappy Yelp reviews of Dash Salon and the large number of unanimously five star reviews on Google. But the Yelp reviews are not recent, so perhaps there has been a change at Dash. The location is somewhat of a problem. Dash is located in a building that includes Harmony Chiropractic and Rueschoff Security. But the neon sign on the street mentions only those two business and not Dash. In addition, the entrance to Dash is at the back of the building, so easily overlooked. Ashley from Salon Renew has moved to Dash. She is an excellent nail tech. Since Salon Renew has closed, I just went to Dash for a pedicure with my wife who got a manicure. As always, we were very happy with Ashley's work. We cannot comment on the hair styling or massage at Dash, since we have not tried them yet. But the facility is upscale and excellent. I would recommend giving it a try (if you can find it).

I have gotten a bunch of tattoos from Cara. If you come to Hermit you can be sure to get quality art from respectful and kind individuals. Specifically when working with Cara I know I can trust her work. She is always asking my input and gets it done with such professionalism. She is sure to check up on my older work she's done to ensure there's no problems. She is the best artist I've found in Lawrence. If you are looking for black and grey, solid line work, and an artist who can assist with you vision you've got to reach out to Cara. I could not recommend her more!
HIGHLY recommend, I've chosen Holly as my go-to artist. I'm very picky about my tattoos since I like clean, minimalist black linework, which is hard to find an artist that does well with. Holly has done such excellent work with mine! She's precise, professional, quick, and on top of that, reasonably priced. One of them that I got even went over some light scar tissue, and it still turned out awesome. This shop will absolutely deliver on your expectations if they're high like mine. Also loved the goody bag they give out when you leave. :) 10/10!

Five stars! A big thank you to Philip from Blue Duck Plumbing for fitting me into his schedule to inspect my grease pipe issue. He uses professional camera equipment and quickly diagnosed the problem. The service was efficient and knowledgeable. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs and highly recommend this company to everyone.
Our sump pump quit and we called RotoRooter at 630am. By 8 am, Adam was at our door! He surveyed the situation and within an hour, had a new and better sump pump put in. They are also going to do some restoration work on carpet etc. and I’m sure they will provide the same professionalism!
Had a leak forming where our washing machine hoses connect to the wall, only caught it because of a small water stain nearby. Replaced both hoses even though only one was leaking, said it’s better to do them together since they wear at the same rate.
This was my first time using Chaney Services. I’ve had 2 other companies out trying to resolve an odor surrounding one of my upstairs bathrooms for months. The last plumber charged me an outrageous amount to replace a broken toilet not used for months, we thought may be the culprit. Did not resolve. Our HVAC guy cleaned and inspected our system and told us to call someone else in plumbing. Chaney was recommended to me by a co worker and I’m so thankful I called. Brian was here just a matter of minutes and asked if he could open our space below our systems in the garage. Come to find out builder never installed a p trap where our systems drains. Brian was the first person in 7 years to tell me my drain should never be empty, his first indication something was wrong. He quickly brought it up to code and fixed the plumbing. Within an hour after his departure the odor started to go away downstairs and we are hardly smelling anything upstairs now. Thank you Brian for taking the time to listen to me. I was starting to think i was imagining something was wrong. Services were more then affordalde and customer service was beyond excellent. Going forward I will be calling Chaney for all of my plumbing needs.
I had a leaking hot water heater and no hot water and needed someone to come out ASAP. They made my job a priority, and did a great job. I called early in the morning and in fact called several companies early in the morning. This company actually had a human return my call quickly so that was the deciding factor on choice and I was very pleased with the outcome. Customer service matters.
I HIGHLY recommend Jayhawk Plumbing. I'm trying to figure out why my basement keeps flooding and Brandon came out to verify my sump pump is functioning correctly. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all things plumbing and even gave me suggestions for where I can turn next to see where the issue is. And he did this at no charge... even though I know his time is precious. I've used him before for plumbing issues and he is always kind, quick, and knows his stuff!

Paul Bost (Jim Bost Plumbing) and his crew managed a very tricky sewer line issue for me. They solved my problem in two hours--after two weeks of being without a bathroom as various other repairmen came and went. As I watched them, I realized the danger involved in making the repair--but no one on the crew hesitated--especially Paul. That's the kind of courage we never hear about. Day-to-day resolve of people who know their jobs can be dangerous--and they do it anyway because they believe in serving their customers to the best of their abilities.

As part of my move-out, I needed to have my carpets professionally cleaned, and Leon was incredibly quick to respond, easy to coordinate with, and very professional. Even afterwards he went above and beyond. There was a miscommunication with my leasing office, and I ended up being charged twice for this service. He communicated directly with their team and made sure everything got sorted out.

ServiceMaster techs arrived at our residence when they said they would and asked me the questions that were pertinent to the issue of water in our lower level. They did a great job of bringing in the equipment needed to get the job done and explained to me every detail of the situation at hand. What needed to be done and how they would go about it. We had Ace come out to our home and clean our vents in the house. They did a great job and we were amazed at how much dust and yuck came out of our home. I've also had Ace do carpet in our home and repairs from cats and always great work and pricing as well!

Bracciano Pest Control does a tremendously thorough job, and is ALWAYS on time! I have used BPC for two years now via my landlord at the tiny house I rent, and have been very impressed with how thorough the service is. I also appreciate talking with the man who comes to my house about his pup; we both have young doodle mixes. I would recommend Bracciano to anyone, and am sad to be leaving my rental as I am not sure my next landlord uses BPC. I liked how Jerry was courteous and answered all questions about what he was doing, what to look for as well as basic questions. He promptly put on slip on booties, though I was fine without since I already clean up after two lab pups. He explained the process and let me verify my email to assure me the report would come quick. He was knowledgeable about issues associated with the purpose, since it was it involved a VA loan.

Low Maintenance Landscaping did a redesign and installation in two areas of my yard. I worked with Laura Odell on the design. She had great ideas and was very responsive to my questions and concerns.
Tyler and the crew did an impressive job clearing the site and installing the plants. They even helped me move a shrub to another part of the yard. They were very neat and efficient, completing their work in 3 days! I was especially pleased with Tyler's design sense doing an installation of stones in a drainage area.
I look forward to seeing how everything grows in and fills the space!

David and I have had Dallien and his exceptional crew create several landscape and hard scape projects for us. Michael, Brian, Nick and the rest of the crew are dedicated and incredibly hard working. They stay with each project every day until complete. Put in very full days and are meticulous with leaving the work area neat at the end of each day. We have a crabapple tree planted in a tight little spot shading our air conditioner in the backyard. The tree has gotten taller and wider and this spring (2026) started to stretch across over our neighboring fence, scratch up against the house and against my son's 2nd story window, and lay across the top of our garage. I called Kansas Tree Care and they promptly (like same day!!!) came out, looked it over and discussed options with me --- a light trimming that would require more frequent maintenance or a heavy pruning that would take care of all of our current issues for a while. We chose the heavy pruning. They gave a date within two weeks that it would be completed and said we did not need to be there when they came. They noted we had a dog and said they would ensure the gate would be latched, etc.
When they arrived (within the dates verbally promised), we were not home, but I talked with them through the Ring camera; they were in full protective gear. When we got home, we checked out the tree. It is trimmed beautifully, absolutely off the house, absolutely off the window, no more scratching, no more overreaching. It is WONDERFUL. Additionally, you literally COULD NOT TELL that they had chopped a huge part of our tree off and removed it --- there was not a dropped branch or stick, they cleaned up all of the leaves and debris, they latched the gate and left the area pristine.
I would hire them every single time I need something done with a tree. Talk about attention to detail and doing things the right way! I wish they did painting, plumbing, and electrical!
Lawrence Arborists really listened to my needs and developed a plan to meet them. They communicated with us during the course of the work and did quality work. More than “limb loppers” these folks know tree health and helped us formulate a plan for the future. Barb and I always trusted folks who were on site even when we were not there to oversee their work. Given our experience with other contractors this outfit is truly a “cut above”.
Mike and the crew were great from start to finish! They did work for my neighbor so I called for an estimate and they came out a few days later and bid my job at the best price out of 2 other companies I had come out. They took out 2 trees and were fast and efficient and cleaned up the mess after they were done. I would recommend them for any job you might need.

Dr. Eric Van Boening is beyond exceptional. Choosing a dentist is a difficult decision. I had extensive damage to my front teeth and wanted to find a dentist specializing in cosmetic dentistry that I was confident in and could trust to provide the best possible outcome. I searched and compared dentists within a 50 mile radius, compared them on a spreadsheet, and narrowed them down until I decided on Dr. Eric Van Boening.
I chose Dr. Van Boening because of his Biomimetic Dentistry approach to cosmetic restoration, his drive to be the best shown through continued education, and his passion for positive outcomes. I felt most approach with grinding down the teeth and doing traditional porcelain veneers. The Biomimetic approach, I felt, would fix my teeth cosmetically but preserve the tooth and restore it to look natural.
The restorations and laminates/veneers each turned out beyond exceptional. Dr. Eric is very meticulous and detail oriented. Each tooth was thoughtfully and carefully restored, rebuilt, and brought back to its natural beauty. The color matching was astounding. Dr. Van Boening's understanding of color and how those impact light and perception is an example of his passion and artistry. I was also very impressed by his anatomical accuracy in the fine details of the tooth. It is the attention to detail and drive for perfection that makes Dr. Van Boening and his results outstanding.
The process was not painful. Dr. Van Boening was fantastic at administering injections and I did not feel the work being done.
In addition to Dr. Van Boening, the rest of the staff is also exceptional. Kristie did an outstanding job assisting Dr. Van Boening throughout the procedures. She is technically skilled and also skilled in making patients feel comfortable and calm throughout the procedures. The dynamic was like a well oiled machine and it made me feel comfortable and confident that they were working in sync.
I initially had a deep cleaning and hygiene work done by Natalie. Natalie was also very meticulous and passionate about her work, administered painless injections, and I was very pleased with my cleaning outcomes. I am glad I completed the advised foundational work of the deep cleaning before beginning the restorative work.
The process of scheduling appointments and planning the treatments was easy. Shannon is a delight to work with on coordinating calendars and keeping the treatment plan organized. Shannon is also great with working with insurance. I did consider Dr. Van Boening not accepting insurance in my initial decision. The difference, for me, in the in-network vs. out-of-network benefits were so minimal as to be non-existent. Shannon made it a breeze to utilize my out-of-network benefits. Nicole is also very friendly and she does a wonderful job with x-rays. Her photography skills are outstanding.
The office itself is clean, well-maintained, modern, and overall nice to look at. The atmosphere of the office is enjoyable and makes you feel comfortable, instead of a chaotic waiting room.

I was struggling with a knee issue for 6 months before I was referred to Dr. Warner. I’ve been to chiropractors before but have not felt as changed as I did after visiting Dr. Warner. Not only is he very experienced and knowledgeable but he has an excellent bedside manner. I am so grateful that I was referred to his office! Both he and Sandy have been wonderful to interact with. They are good people and excellent treatment is what you will receive. 6 out of 5 stars still doesn’t give them credit they are due. Highly recommend.

Great experience! They helped me figure out what issues my cats had. They showed lots of concern for my cats issues Aswell, which I appreciate highly. The staff there is also super kind and helpful! I struggled to get my card to work and the person at the desk helped me a lot! The pricing there is decent too, wouldn’t say it’s the cheapest vet however I feel for the quality of this vet it’s worth it.

I'm an overweight male who has in the past not had good experiences with yoga, mostly because of my own issues. Taking classes at the Yoga Center has changed everything for me. While there is always an expectation that you try, that you give it your best, there's also no judgment when you can't do things like other people in the class. Yoga is supposed to be about you and your mat, and that's what it feels like. Also, I've had several good and talented yoga instructors, but words fail me in trying to explain what Anne Underwood is like as a teacher and mentor. She's quite simply the best. If you are on the fence about yoga, come try this. Seriously.
Such an amazing studio. The instructors are top tier. Leanna (the owner) makes you feel right at home and she has such a talent for teaching. There are a variety of classes from Power Yoga to Restorative practices.They've recently added Pilates classes as well. I love how the studio has open windows looking out onto a grassy patch and some trees rather than a large mirror. The studio is very clean and never smells like sweat which is not always the case in hot studios! There are mats and towels to use. I really appreciate how there isn't an extra charge for this service. Great introductory rate of $30 for 30 days and first class is free. If you're looking for a hot yoga studio in Lawrence I highly recommend trying Yellow Brick!
