“We worked with DJK Home Builders on a full remodel of an older, dated home, and overall, it was a very positive experience. We moved to the US from the UK so the whole process was pretty unfamiliar for us.

From the outset, the team brought strong ideas on design, layout, and how to best use the space. They really helped us reimagine what the home could be. Cassy, in particular, was fantastic to work with on interior selections, extremely knowledgeable, easy to collaborate with, and great at helping bring ideas together. She has a real eye for what works, regardless of the style you’re aiming for, and was a valuable sounding board throughout.

Our project managers, Jack and Miles, were exceptional. They were not only highly professional and organized, but also approachable, responsive, and genuinely fab to work with. They played a big role in keeping everything moving smoothly. The project was completed within the 12-month timeline we were originally given, which we really appreciated.

Now, about 18 months in, we absolutely love our home and feel fully settled. Like any build, we’ve had a few minor issues post-completion, but Jack and Miles have always been quick to respond and resolve anything regardless of the time of day. That level of aftercare and ongoing support is incredibly important when you’re making such a significant investment, and DJK has delivered well here.

The one area for improvement, and it’s an important one, is around cost management. We found that the standard selections offered were somewhat dated and limited, especially for a builder of this caliber. As a result, we upgraded more than expected and ultimately ended up spending 25% over our original build budget. This added a fair amount of stress during the process, as the costs gradually increased beyond what we had initially planned for.

That said, the end result is a beautiful home that we’re truly happy with. If you go in with a clear understanding of potential upgrade costs, you’ll be in a much better position to fully enjoy the experience.

From start to finish, Anthony and Brian were terrific: responsive, excellent communication throughout project, respectful of our home. “The Kitchen Master just completed remodeling our kitchen, and we are absolutely thrilled with the design, quality, and just how darn smooth they made the process. Tracy Berman was our designer, and she created a thoughtful design that was really tailored for how we want (and need) to use the kitchen. Tracy’s design is so great – functional, timeless, but with some pizzazz and fun design elements that make it unique and OURS. Having Tracy provide suggestions and options to choose from as starting points made the process so much easier than going to the store and picking out everything from scratch. Tracy totally understood our style, stuck to our budget, and we never felt pressured into anything.

On the build side, The Kitchen Master does everything and makes sure that their subcontractors tour the house before the design is finalized to make sure the pricing is accurate and any potential issues or surprises are discussed up front. Tom Myers ran the show and he was very patient with all of our questions and always made me feel like he had our back when there were any hiccups along the way. Michael Peshia was the guy that was there almost every day ripping things apart and putting things back together again. Michael did amazing work, taking great care and patience with our wonky ceilings, and has amazing attention to detail. It was great to have a single point of contact throughout the demo through the final build.

You hear so many horror stories about people’s remodeling experience and I can say we had none of that thanks to Kitchen Master. Even with some hiccups along the way, everything was done on time, on budget, and with no real stress on us as the owners. If we ever need any additional work done on our house, we will definitely use The Kitchen Master again!“

“I had a great experience working with Rick and his team on our bathroom project. From the beginning, Rick stood out because of how clear, honest, and transparent he was during the quoting process. He provided a detailed, itemized proposal that showed exactly what was included, which made it much easier to understand the scope and compare options. He also explained what materials we would provide, what his team would handle, showed proof of insurance, and provided warranty information, which gave us a lot of confidence before the work even started.

Rick was also very upfront about how busy he was and gave us a realistic timeline for when he could start the project. I appreciated that a lot, especially after dealing with other contractors who either delayed quotes or stopped responding altogether.
