Benn is quite knowledgeable, takes the time to explain his solutions, easy to communicate with, price was VERY reasonable, and the turnaround time was unbelievable. Liberty Home Pros recently installed our new cedar deck. Working with Gavin and his team was wonderful! We provided the concept and they worked to figure out how to make it a reality. Gavin was great to work with. He listened to what we wanted and made great recommendations. We sought 2 other quotes. One wasn't willing to do the work we wanted and the other was exponentially higher than Liberty Home Pros. The work quality is great and they did an awesome job keeping the site clean during the process so that our dogs could still be safely in our backyard when the crew wasn't on site. Weather delayed the process a little but but they kept us in the loop about the delays. In the end we got exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be calling this team for future projects.

Troy remodeled our whole main floor and has fixed multiple “do it yourself” issues from the previous home owner. He came in on budget and ahead of schedule by a week (which was great because we had our baby a week and a half early- three days after we moved back in). His attention to detail and high expectations create such a fantastic final product. We call Troy for all our plumbing and remodeling needs.

I have been coming to Stan's for about 7 months for a men's cut. I've had Quinn as my barber each time, and he has always done an amazing job. Quinn is great at interpreting your requests for how you want your hair cut, and he is personable and fun to chat with during every visit. The establishment is nice and cozy, and I leave satisfied after every visit. I cannot recommend Stan's more!

I love Elite Nails! They are the best in Iowa City. The salon is clean, the service is impeccable, and my nails last a long time. I always enjoy chatting and am impressed that they remember my name. They are great about checking in about nail length, shape, and color throughout your appointment, so you won't walk out disappointed. Be sure to call for an appointment, because they can get busy, but it never takes longer than an hour, which works great with my schedule. They're my go-to!
Went in with a fun design idea and wanted gel on my regular nails. Was told that my nails were too short so we did acrylics. They were so nice and efficient. They tried their best on the design and although it wasn’t exactly as in the picture I love them!!! Will definitely go back :) affordable too

I love candy nails! I've gone to them for almost a year and I've never been disappointed. I get dip with extensions and they last me easily a month, if not longer. One time I broke a nail the day after I got them done, and they happily redid it with no extra charge. Also the service is amazing! All the stylists remember me every time I come in, even if its been a few months. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating with requests for color, length, shape, etc. Also location is super convenient as a college student with no car. I will continue to come here for the rest of my time in Iowa City!

Dennis and Mike are wonderful! Have been a client since 2006. Dennis is a talented colorist and could work anywhere. I always get compliments on how natural my hair color looks and how my gray hair just looks like highlights. He gives a great haircut and I always walk out of the salon feeling great!
I see Kelli for haircuts, and she is excellent and thorough. Her prices are reasonable compared to many places in Iowa City, and she has excellent customer service. Haircuts can take a while but the quality is well worth it. The salon itself is no-frills but always clean and maintained well.

I had an amazing experience at Velvet lotus with Mandy! I felt extremely comfortable and supported as well. I had only one other tattoo that I had an extremely painful experience with and with Mandy it was night and day. I can't imagine getting another tattoo with anyone else!
I got my sternum tattooed and I wanted a more hand drawn sun and stars and he gave me just that. On top of that- it was three friends and I that went in as walk ins and he managed to do all four of us ande executed each of them perfectly! He is extremly skilled and knows how to capture exactly what you want! My group of friends and I that all went and got some together- we all left extremly happy we went! Would DEFINITELY recommend!

My friend and I decided to go get ear piercings done by Jerry and he did an amazing job! I got my conch pierced (photo taken an hour after) and it was so quick and smooth I was very surprised! Compared to most other studios in Iowa City they are inexpensive, the jewelry is much cheaper than any other place I’ve been to. Will definitely be going back to get my other ear done!
I have had an absolutely amazing experience getting tattooed here! Kris listened to exactly what I wanted and came up with an example very quickly. She ended up charging me $200 less than quotes from other shops and preformed above and beyond! No matter where I live in the county I will be loyal to this shop owner for life.

I needed a substantial amount of work on a older home with some quirky features. Breese was amazing. Staff listened to me describe the issues, and worked extremely creatively with me to come up with solutions that solved the issues and preserved the features I wanted to retain. (Trust me- this was not a simple process!!). Everyone I worked with seemed genuinely committed to my being happy with the results as well as fixing the plumbing issues. The work was high quality, efficiently done, and they took time and care to answer questions, address concerns, and offer options. Plumbing issues are never pleasant, but I am really happy how everything was resolved.
Josh (the owner) personally came out and fixed a complex main valve/curb stop issue that other local shops refused to touch. He saved us from a massive excavation and did an AMAZING job. If you have a 1920s home, this is the only shop you should call! See before / after photos. New main value and secondary valve, removed and repalced rusty galvanized pipe.

Something was different in the living room, the coffee table was off-center. When I moved the table I saw why: someone had tried to conceal a horrible spill. A foot-long murky brown stain had been left to molder on the light Berber. Ugh. I thought I would need new carpeting. But then Cory from Randy's Carpet Cleaning showed up. He is a genius! My carpeting was restored to the point it looks brand new. Spills from years of guests vanished. Thank you, experts of carpet cleaning. I am one happy customer!

They were honest and straightforward by telling us that something is not right (we were being demanded to do the renovations by the building owner at the end of our lease). Dan used his connections to get us some advice and from there, we were able to find a lawyer and get it resolved. Keil's installed a glass shower door in our bathroom in the Iowa City area. They picked up the door and were very professional. The crew that came a long were great to work with, had a strong work ethic, knew what they were talking about, and I completely trusted them in my house. We were having a problem with water coming in over the top of our deck sliding glass doors when there was heavy rain. We called Ron at Easton Construction Company and they came in a very timely manner to work on the issue. Not only did they solve the problem (which was certainly tested this week with many rain storms) but they did a beautiful job matching the trim replaced with the existing wood. We can always rely on Ron and his partner to do a great job.
It's not only doing things perfectly the first time, that is expected. But when there is a problem that shows up two years later that you find out who the really good guys are. Dan did the right thing and fixed the problem. Well done young man.

We've been using this nursery for about 8 years now and there's not another nursery we would ever use. Not only are they super knowledgeable when it comes to plants and trees and shrubs and whatever else they have on hand. They sell out there but they also do an amazing job when they come mulch, clean and edge your yard. Thank you for all the quality work you've put into our house by planting 17 trees and having you mulch our yard every year..

Then you go to the back and the dentist you were so nervous about actually has a kind and lighthearted personality! You start to feel more relaxed because you can feel that they genuinely care about you and how you are feeling! You slowly become more at ease because they are paying such well attention to you, that they stop the moment you even blink too quick, to make sure you are feeling safe, at ease, and not in pain?

I personally didn’t go to the dentist for 10 years because of my anxiety, and since I found IC Family Dentist, I’ve got every 6-months on the dot, because I know I’ll be cared for like family! If you are anxious about the dentist even a little, please know, that as someone who had severe anxiety over it, this dentist is 100% for you!
Dr. Van Beek was able to save my Mom from having to have surgery to remove the root from her gum after a tooth had broken off. He was very gentle, kind, knowledgeable and an amazing dentist!

I used to go a couple times a week and have now gotten to the point where I only need to go once a week max, if not less as it's more for just maintenance! He is a life saver! Great experience! I was very skeptical of chiros and still am. But, I was experiencing chronic neck pain for several months. I had seen my general practitioner who is an internist, a physical therapist (4 visits), tried deep tissue massage with very little effect from any of these. I visited Dr. DeGrazie three times, that's all. He did minor adjustments each time, but also gave me simple and fast exercises. While it did not happen instantly, I am now pain-free and have been for several weeks. Again, all it took was three visits and following the simple and quick exercise advice. I didn't spent a ton and I'm not going back every few days to get additional treatment/adjustments. Again, great value, great experience, and great people. Highly recommend!

They were transparent and helped us improve our home routine in order to avoid unnecessary teeth cleanings by keeping his teeth tartar free on our own. I love going here and it reminded me of my favorite vet clinic from my home town. I would definitely recommend it to others. Cost is very reasonable and they are forward any additional costs before doing testing.

What stood out even more was the sense of community. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The owner greeted me by name, checked in throughout the evening, and made me feel like I belonged, even as a first-time visitor. The other students were warm and welcoming, and by the end of class we were laughing and joking together as a group.
The small class size (a maximum of five hammocks) allows for plenty of individualized attention, which made the experience feel both personal and supportive.
I left feeling accomplished, energized, and already wishing I lived closer so I could come back regularly.
If you're looking for an aerial class that is professionally taught, welcoming, challenging, and genuinely fun, I highly recommend it.
I started a couple of weeks ago, and have been mostly going to the 6:30 am classes with Grace. I really enjoy the studio and her classes!
This is where I first practiced yoga. I was given such an incredibly holistic introduction to yoga, it's philosophy and practice. I learned about myself, and experienced great times of emotional release. Betsy and all of the teachers in this studio clearly care about every person that walks through the door. I have visited dozens of studios since, and I cannot recommend this place enough! If you can't attend in person, check out the online zoom option... Set aside a space in your home, and enjoy the love that is shared in every practice!

I have been going to Nic for the past 9 years for massage therapy. I've had other massages at spas or on vacations and NO ONE compares to him. I am moving out of state and devastated that I won't be able to see him regularly anymore. Thank you, Nic, for keeping my body going all these years, including through two pregnancies!

My friend and I got 90 minute massages full body with oil (vs dry massage). You are behind a curtain in a suite that’s inside a mall. Very clean. Very professional. Great prices. We are here on a work trip and we will try to come back before we leave. My massage started off dry and it was lovely and almost put me to sleep. Great experience. Also got us in in less than 24 hours
Susan was very skillful and gave attention to the areas that needed it. Very good massage with soothing music and quiet atmosphere.
Eric has been my massage therapist for many years. As someone who leads a very active lifestyle, I’ve racked up a great deal of injuries over time. Eric consistently takes the time to ask about my concerns, discusses them with me in detail, and then tailors each session to address those specific needs. His deep tissue massages have been especially beneficial in preparing my body for chiropractic adjustments. I appreciate that if I bring up an issue he is unsure about, he is honest and transparent. However, in most cases, his strong understanding of athletic related concerns allows him to identify the underlying causes and guide me toward appropriate care or referrals when needed. Having worked with several massage therapists, I can confidently say that Eric’s depth of knowledge and experience with the human body...particularly at the tissue level...sets him apart. He is highly skilled and exceptionally effective in delivering targeted treatment with quality. Eric, I sincerely appreciate all that you have done for my family, friends, and me.

I dealt with lower back pain for years and felt like I had tried everything: massage, chiropractor, yoga, YouTube exercises, heat, TENS unit...you name it, with no lasting relief. I’m so glad a friend pointed me to Team Iowa. I worked with Paolo, who within 10 minutes of my first visit, pinpointed the issue and reassured me that it could be managed with the right stretches and exercises. Boy-oh-boy was he right. Over six weeks, he gradually built my program, increased the difficulty at the right pace, and answered my slew of questions. Of course, the investment and time outside of PT is necessary, but having someone guide you through, safely and comfortably, is paramount.

Once again, I needed physical therapy and chose Rock Valley Physical Therapy, Iowa City. And, once again, the experience was excellent. I saw Von Glazer, DPT, who listened, asked pertinent questions, worked with me to develop a routine that would assist me with getting my strength and ROM back. Angie Dixon is excellent as well, and Pam in the front office is very helpful. I highly recommend Iowa City Rock Vally PT.

Patrick provided acupuncture that gave me soooo much relief. I'm in town for a couple weeks & the hotel bed is too soft. Anywho great service. I was impressed he actually did a technique that my main acupuncturist in Mankato MN doesn't do. I will go back & recommend Patrick for holistic healing.
