5264 Diamond Heights Blvd, San Francisco“I have finally found a vet that I feel super confident in and don't feel like I'm being ripped off. Everyone here is so kind and clearly loves animals. My little nervous cat just had dental surgery and it went off without a hitch. So grateful for Seven Hills and my kitties will keep coming back!“

2084 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Fairfax“Dr. Pipkin went above and beyond to thoroughly examine our new-to-us rescue dog outside of the clinic (for the safety of other canine patients, after we reported our girl had coughed several times over the past couple of days). Dr. Pipkin was warm, funny, and explained the what's and why's of everything. I enjoyed observing her positive interaction with our dog which included using stealthy petting to perform part of her exam. I did not get the Vet Tech's name that joined later, but she was fantastic, too. Thank you, both!“

1235A Taraval St, San Francisco“The docs and staff at Vet Vision were exceptionally good with my sometimes anxious dog. The doctors are skilled and personable and are supported by state of the art equipment. This comes at a premium cost, of course. But it’s worrisome when a loved pet develops eye problems. Vet Vision can reliably make it better.“

201 Alabama St, San Francisco“Words cannot express how grateful I am to the medical team at SPCA for providing such world-class, empathetic, compassionate care to my previous love bug, Chestnut.
He had a critical medical episode due to an underlying condition. I called them ahead of my arriving and they were fully prepared for my arrival, remembered my cat’s name from the call hours before, and acted swiftly to stabilize him.
The veterinarian came in to deliver the news I was sadly expecting, but did it in such a way that honored the decision I knew I needed to make. They gave me all the time in the world to feed him delicious treats and a final meal, hold him, sing to him, and then hold him as he gently went “to sleep.”
While I am heartbroken, the experience was beyond all expectations and they made it possible for my beloved angel to have a dignified, honorable transition.
Thank you, SPCA, for making his end of life a truly gentle and compassionate transition. Thank you for meeting me where I was at, and for walking with me through it all and helping me into my new chapter without my best friend.
Please never stop the work you do. I cannot express how critical it is to our community.“

489 Miller Ave, Mill Valley“Excellent experience here with Dr Whitlock. My only regret is not coming sooner. She diagnosed my Labrador (osteochondritis of the hock) within minutes whereas other vets over multiple years had x-rayed the wrong areas and had suspected other diagnoses. While my dog’s condition is chronic, it is well managed under Dr Whitlock’s suggestions. She is calm, compassionate and patient, making you feel not rushed and comfortable to ask questions. While this care is expensive, I did find the comparable rates competitive for the area and never felt pressured to pay for anything. I am a o grateful to have such a wonderful vet practice in the area. Thank you!“

4527 Mission St, San Francisco“I brought my cat here after being overdue for a vet visit due to a negative experience at Banfield, and I’m so glad I chose the SPCA clinic. The doctor was incredibly kind and gentle with my cat, which immediately put me at ease. The staff lets you be present during the appointment (which is something I never could do at banfield) , they explained everything clearly, and were very transparent about pricing, which was also very affordable.
When we got home, he was immediately comfortable and didn’t hide all day like he usually did after his past visits at banfield. That alone says everything. Highly recommend.“

This clinic is very clean and the staffs there are super responsive, my pet needed some travel documents as our family are moving across the country and they made it happened! The staffs and doctor Cote, are very responsive and their fees are much more reasonable than our old clinic. We highly recommend them“

190 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo“I love this practice. My dog usually sees Dr. Sachs, but on a Monday she's not there. I called early morning as my dog was having issues in need of urgent care. Heather, the owner and practice manager got us seen that day. She even let me know if any cancellations occurred that morning, she'd get us seen sooner. My dog has a lot of anxiety at the practice and knowing his veterinarian, Dr. Robert Sahaghian, was fear free certified really eased MY anxiety. This was our first time meeting him and he was so wonderful and gentle with Boomer. I'm comforted knowing he has two doctors now. Dr. Sahaghian followed up with me quickly regarding his labs, and was thorough and patient with my questions. I honestly, couldn't recommend another family practice more. Thank you always, RVVH! ??❤️?“

419 Irwin St, San Rafael“I live 35 minutes away up in Petaluma area and for a variety of reasons went to San Rafael Animal Hospital for the first time with my dog Rose. I was pleased with every part of our visit. Dr. Davis even started chipping some tartar off my dog's teeth as he was examining her just because. They even managed to X-ray Rose's leg without anesthesia (and without me there) I believe because she felt secure in their care. Normally she would get anxious if she doesn't see me. Fair prices, too. The neighborhood is sort of industrial and the office is no frills, but the care is exceptional. I'll be coming back all the way down here from now on.“

600 Alabama St, San Francisco“I'm not sure why people are so down on this place, other than the emergency vet is quite possibly one of the saddest places in the world. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had a three hour wait. Having also visited the pediatric ER at CPMC on a Sunday, I can tell you that this felt about standard. Our dog was triaged soon after we came in and deemed non-critical, so fair enough, you wait. They have tea and water for the humans, as well as wifi. The waiting area benches allow your pet to rest next to you. We saw Dr Kelly who was pleasant and helpful. FYI, the charges here start at $235 for an exam (as of the date of this review). Trips to the vet are never cheap, and well, it's the emergency vet, so what do folks expect? The facility is clean, the staff all were nice. At least on a Sunday afternoon, parking was not too challenging. Tartine Manufactory across the street provides a good place to grab a coffee or sandwich during your hour of need.“

1386 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco“⸻
It’s amazing to think about how long we’ve been coming to Blue Cross Pet Hospital. I first heard about them almost 10 years ago from my neighbor, who told me that dogs should have a dental cleaning at least once a year, or at the very least every two years. At the time, that idea felt so unusual to me. Where I come from, dogs were simply considered pets, and dental care for them wasn’t something people really thought about.
Later, I learned the hard truth from friends who had lost their dogs due to severe dental disease—when untreated teeth became rotten, the infection spread into their bloodstream, caused complications, and their dogs passed away. Hearing those stories made me realize how important dental care really is. That’s when I decided to take my dog to Blue Cross Pet Hospital, and that’s where it all began.
Over the years, they’ve done much more than just dental cleanings. They’ve provided preventive care, regular checkups, and continuous support for my dogs’ health. Thanks to them, my oldest dog lived to be 20 years old, and even though I lost another, he lived a long life up to 16 years. Today, I have three dogs, and all of them are still under the care of Blue Cross Pet Hospital.“

487 Miller Ave, Mill Valley“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. May and everyone at Aggie Animal Dental Center. My greyhound, Dax, managed to break three canines in five months, and their team performed vital pulp therapy on four of his teeth. Their skill and professionalism are truly impressive, and I fully trust their expertise.
One thing I really appreciate is how thorough they are. At the end of each visit, Dr. May personally goes over everything in detail, including Dax’s CT scan, and they even send me photos from his procedure. It’s such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much they care.
Having a dedicated anesthesiologist on site gives me tremendous peace of mind, especially with a dog like Dax who has had multiple procedures. I’ll absolutely be returning for his routine cleanings, and I’ll be recommending Aggie Animal Dental Center to all my friends and family.
The only minor downside is that they book up about a month in advance, but honestly, that just speaks to how good they are. Definitely worth the wait!“

3619 California St, San Francisco“Been happily coming here for years! On my first visit, Dr. Helmer quickly diagnosed my cat’s health issue that had puzzled other vets. She also noticed some dental issues that other vets never did. My cat clearly felt better after receiving proper care. I’m grateful for her and the wonderful staff here.“

1110 4th St, San Francisco“I haven't seen anyone mention bunny neutering yet, so I thought I'd share my experience! SOMA animal hospital took wonderful care of my 5 month old boy Mack. They did a thorough pre-procedure process with labwork and lots of aftercare info. He was given meds with easy instructions and was handled so carefully and they were in touch with me the whole process of the neuter. I was terrified just because of how delicate rabbits are under anesthesia, but they did such a great job and he had zero issues post-op.
The one thing I will say is this specific animal hospital is extremely expensive compared to other exotic vets in SF, but it's worth it if you want proper care. I would rather spend 1 grand and have my baby safe and taken care of than spend $600 somewhere else and put my baby in danger.“

1660 Second St, San Rafael“I am so grateful to Dr Frye and his Family and Staff for taking incredible care of my Great Dane. They are kind attentive and truly thoughtful. It has taken me four years to find another wise, intelligent and skillful surgeon/veterinarian who understands Great Danes. West End Animal Center is just perfect in all ways and in all categories. I feel so lucky to have found them. Thank you.“

825 Moultrie St, San Francisco“We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Bastian, and the team from Lotus provided the most compassionate and professional care imaginable. Dr. Seth and his assistant, Ro, arrived so calm and collected, working seamlessly together like a well-oiled machine without even needing to speak. They just knew what needed to be done. They made Bastian feel completely safe and comfortable during his final moments and allowed us to surround him with our homemade bed of flowers, which meant the world to us.
His remains arrived today, less than two weeks later, and everything was beautifully packaged with great attention to detail and quality. We’re so grateful for the dignity, kindness, and support they showed our family through such a difficult time. I can’t recommend Lotus highly enough for anyone facing this heartbreaking moment, they truly helped bring peace to ours.“

“I'm so sorry to hear that Dr. Deiter has retired. He has a true connection with and a way with animals unsurpassed and that is what's most important. That's why I've been going to SAH for about 10 years. I love the staff there, Leather and Beatrice and just hope they can get another doctor as gentle and caring to animals as Dr Deiter was. Janet Spellmann“
