WOW! My first time here - What a positive experience! This is truly a long time family owned business with well deserved top reviews. Melissa kindly handles everything at the front desk and office - her Dad, Dr. Archinal has been a vet since 1982, and is calm, kind, and wise. He's seen so much - his very presence is reassuring. I felt like, no matter what my dog was dealing with, this Dr would have experience and can offer meaningful perspective and advice. I live 35 minutes away up in Petaluma area and for a variety of reasons went to San Rafael Animal Hospital for the first time with my dog Rose. I was pleased with every part of our visit. Dr. Davis even started chipping some tartar off my dog's teeth as he was examining her just because. They even managed to X-ray Rose's leg without anesthesia (and without me there) I believe because she felt secure in their care. Normally she would get anxious if she doesn't see me. Fair prices, too. The neighborhood is sort of industrial and the office is no frills, but the care is exceptional. I'll be coming back all the way down here from now on.
