Got an awesome haircut from Stacey! I'm pretty picky too. Went to several places and had difficulty finding someone who could get the cut right. For some reason a lot of stylists have difficulty with layers on fine hair. Stacey's great, her technique is on point and is great with layering fine hair! She was able to fix the past mistake of the last person who cut my hair. I'm looking forward to my next appointment and happy I finally found someone so skilled! She's also super nice and personable.

I was looking for a barber to get trimmed up. I don't live in the area and really didn't know where to go. But, since I was in this part of town I decided to try this place out. The barber (Andrew) was friendly and did a great job. It was quick and convenient. Andrew was personable and we had nice conversation while he trimmed my hair.
I will be a repeat customer next time I am in the area. For payment they accept cash and Zelle, no cards which was fine.

Beats having some tyrannical, greedy salon owner gouging people for their hard work. Quality is queen here and a relaxing atmosphere.
What's not to love? The owner gives incredible haircuts to both my husband and me. She listens and asks questions, then cuts and we are always pleased. I’ve been coming to this tattoo shop quite a few times over the last year, and each time I’ve been welcomed by the warm and friendly artists who are extremely passionate about their work. I’ve mostly been coming to get some flash work done by ✨Rain and Ashlie✨, or to just hang out while my girlfriend gets her done and I always have a good time with them! I recently brought an idea for a tattoo that I’ve been wanting for awhile to Ashlie and she absolutely went above and beyond for me. The tattoo came out even better than I had ever hoped for, and the time and effort she put in to make sure each line was perfect was amazing. She always made sure I was comfortable and was doing okay since it was a longer session (6+ hrs of actual tattooing).
Ashlie is definitely a gem at Hard Times, and even though her main niche is anime style tattoos, she’s a versatile and talented artist that can bring your idea to life.
Rain is an amazing artist as well! They have an amazing eye for detail and have work that ranges from storybook characters to tarot cards.

Water heater was leaking from inside yesterday morning (Sunday). We called ABT because of Auburn's Best of the Best, and they sent out very friendly and very competent Junior Martinez. Our water heater was replaced by midday Monday, and the work looks perfect. He left a clean worksite, and our problem is gone. 2 weeks later, and electrician Kenny Haycraft replaced some suspect breakers and solved our electrical issues easily - it's good to have ABT as such a handy resource.
Walter was great and kept me informed throughout the visit on his progress. Plus he was super nice.
I found Foothill Electric through the Auburn CA Facebook page. Such a solid recommendation-- they really are the best! We had a big Oak limb come down in the middle of the night and take out all the power to our house. After dealing with the fire dept and pge till 3am, we sent an email to Foothill Electric hoping for a speedy repair. These guys don't mess around. They called me by 7am, were on the property by 8am and had our panel fully hooked up and ready for pge to turn the power back on by 10. The price was very reasonable. They are rock stars!
Dino came over on short notice to fix an electrical outage in my home office. Dino quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the bad outlet (which was causing all 'downstream' outlets to go out, kind of like a string of Christmas lights). Dino was friendly and professional and explained everything he was doing and the price was fair given diagnose and repair in one visit. I feel very confident in the quality of Dino's work. Highly recommended!

First they are a Generac Authorized Dealer allowing them to offer extended warranties, emergent and routine maintenance, and remote monitoring of our generator. Ron the owner, Marsha and the rest of his staff have all been professional. We rest better knowing we have a stand-by generator and that they were the company we went with
Mike did an extensive rewiring on our 100 year old home. He was amazing to work with and kept a positive attitude. We were very please with the work. Just over a year later when we had a problem with something he had touched, even though it was totally unexpected, he came out on a holiday, went to get the retired parts, and came back to fix it. We asked what we owed and he said nothing, it was part of his warranty. Definitely stands behinds his work!

Believe me when I say that Todd at Sierra Trench Protection is one honest man! After delivery and set up at our home, we couldn’t have been happier. He put the 20 ft storage container exactly where we wanted it. And let me tell you, that was easier said than done. After a warm handshake and payment in full, we called it day. However, my husband began to think he had miscounted the money and thought he may have overpaid him by $100.00. He said that he couldn’t have because he had counted it twice. The driver also counted it. The next day, we received a phone call. It was Todd. He wanted to let us know that he just finished counting the payment when he discovered one extra $100.00 dollar bill. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the real character of the man! We will recommend Sierra Trench to anyone needing help with many things. Amber is so knowledgeable! We have had trees taken down, or cleaned up after for the past several years and this was the best experience we have ever had. I can't say enough about the quality of this dentist. He is personable, extremely gentle, does great work, and won't rip you off or deceive you. I went in expecting to get a crown for a chipped tooth. After his inspection of the tooth, I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to repair the tooth with a filling instead. He could have easily said I needed a crown, as I wouldn't have known the difference. He saved me a ton of money.

Last year (2022) I achieved total relief from severe pain in my neck after one treatment by Dr. Hensley.
I tend to be very skeptical of chiropractors, but after no less than 4 other people recommended Dr. Harding, I decided to give it a shot. It's been life changing. I originally went in for lower back pain, not realizing it could even be related to an accident that involved my head and neck years ago. Not only is the back pain almost entirely gone, but I've struggled with gastrointestinal issues for years since that accident and they are 95% gone now too! I never knew how much my body was suffering until it wasn't. Dr. Harding also gives you as many tools as he can to help you help yourself. His staff are also wonderful and kind and it's always a pleasure talking with them.

I called at age 39 because my back hurt so bad I couldn't lay still or sit- I was so miserable. Dr Crill had me in the same morning and immediately addressed that one problem well enough I could sit/ lay down again that day. I had decades worth of stress and sports injuries, a couple pregnancies too... so I kept coming back every couple of weeks for 8 months.
I experienced: better complexion, less inflammation (people kept asking if I lost weight- I didn't), no visual headaches, and the ability to keep my several times a week boot camp style workouts up while turning 40, raising kids while getting divorced, and running my own business.
I feel better every single time I leave Dr Crills office.
I took a few months off because I felt healthy!
I ended up coming back to Dr Crill due to my eye doctor asking if I'd had any Traumatic Brain Injuries- she suspected mild to moderate concussions. Dr Crill was able to address the childhood whiplash injuries that showed up after I hit my head too hard a couple of times (I was moving to a new home and was exhausted- they were accidents I wasn't even phased by until my double vision wouldn't go away.)
TLDR: DR CRILL IMPROVED MY EYE SIGHT TOO and immediately after identifying the old whiplash injury in my neck/ head. The first day I cried for an hour in my car in the parking lot- this whole 30 ish years I've thought it was my eyes! It's mostly the whiplash I experienced and it was treatable!!! I could've hugged everyone in his office in relief and gratitude that day. I have to go get new glasses prescription but I'm so grateful!! I can focus and track and see things my kids point out- my double vision is almost entirely gone after a few months of working on it. I haven't rolled my ankle in months either. Turns out- that was a symptom of seeing a little too sideways. Now that the eyes track- my coordination and balance are improved too.
I recommend Dr Crill for specific and general pain relief as well as concussion and whiplash related troubles.

Dr. Sanchez took the time to thoroughly discuss my dog's issues, treatment options, and medication suggestions. She recommended an incredible healing spray that works wonders for wounds and skin irritations—truly magical! She explained probiotics in detail and provided invaluable insights on the best ways to administer his medications and ointments. It was clear that even amidst the morning rush, she was dedicated to ensuring I fully understood everything for my dog's best outcome.

We rescued a purebred 7-year-old dog from a shelter in Oregon last July that came with hidden health problems including heartworms, inflamed bowels, and heart arrhythmia. Only the heartworms were revealed upon the dog's initial wellness checkup. Normally, that's all one might expect to be noticed in such a visit. So the three-month process recommended by the American Heartworm Association to eradicate the heartworms began with a 30-day course of the antibiotic Doxycycline. However, after 3-weeks the dog became critically ill. His liver began failing and Dr. Grimes suggested IV treatments at an emergency pet clinic, which are VERY expensive. We opted for home treatments of several supplements and meds; a much less expensive alternative. Our guy began to respond very positively and a few weeks later he was MUCH better. Then just before we (Dr. Grimes and us) were planning the next phase of the heartworm eradication, that would actually kill the worms, our dog took a downturn within a couple of hours that day. He collapsed on our floor and we had to carry all 60 pounds of him to the car. We rushed him to the clinic and the staff came out to the car and helped carry him directly into treatment. Dr. Hardy and ALL of the assistants immediately began triage, running tests, and providing every possible treatment to save his life. We were VERY gratified and appreciative of their amazing all-out efforts. It was strongly recommended we take him to an emergency pet clinic and the staff set us up with one of them. All the needed test results were transmitted directly to the emergency clinic, so when we arrived the staff there were able to rush into action to help our guy. The heart arrhythmia problem was revealed and the inflamed bowels were confirmed. Unfortunately, the prognosis was pretty poor, and we realized it was time to put our guy out of his misery. Sadly he was euthanized at that point, and we took him home to permanently rest on our rural property in Nevada County under a transplanted tree. All in all, we found the Animal Clinic at Lake of the Pines to be a great resource for pet healthcare. We can't say enough good about the service and staff there. Dr. Grimes gave us a call the day after our ordeal, giving us her heartfelt condolences. When we get another pet, we will definitely return for our new pets healthcare.

I have practiced yoga for about 20 years. In 2012, I discovered Auburn Yoga Studio and met owner Gwenn Jones. With the obvious exception of the pandemic years, I’ve tried to practice yoga at least once a week. I have never been disappointed in the yoga instruction provided by Gwenn; she is an excellent teacher and has a vast knowledge of yoga and of human physiology. I trust her guidance and appreciate her sensitivity to all students in her class. She is welcoming, kind, and dedicated…her studio is always a safe environment for the beginner or advanced practitioner. Also, the studio is exceptionally clean, well lit, easy to access and equipped with a wide variety of props. I recommend Auburn Yoga Studio enthusiastically and without a moment of hesitation.

Janet is amazing! I’ve been struggling with back and sciatica issues for almost two years. I’ve had physical therapy, pain medication, and I’ve seen numerous chiropractors. Alex takes an interest in understanding where you need attention and goes to work. I appreciate a massage therapist willing to apply more pressure and allow me to ask for less, and Alex does that. I had the 90 min massage and she covered all muscle groups. Highly recommend.

I am an avid skier and have been skiing since I was 5. My first few times out skiing this season were painful and I felt almost like a beginner. After a couple sessions with Deb I’m almost 100% and I couldn’t be happier.
