306 E 11th Ave, Vancouver“Losing a loved one was a devastating blow to both me and my family. Having to cope with our grief while also managing all of the funeral arrangements made an already difficult time even more overwhelming.
Throughout the entire process, Mark provided us with tremendous support and assistance. He was incredibly understanding of our situation and always took the time to see things from our perspective. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and carefully arranged. He was proactive in preparing everything we needed in advance, and whether he was assisting family members or receiving guests, he conducted himself with the utmost professionalism, giving us great peace of mind during a very difficult period.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to change the original service date. Faced with such a last-minute change, Mark could easily have declined or explained that it would be difficult to accommodate. Instead, he never showed the slightest frustration or treated it as an inconvenience. He immediately contacted Forest Lawn, the florist, the burning paper supplier, and the Buddhist specialist to coordinate the necessary changes. Despite the significant amount of additional work involved, he never once complained and handled every detail efficiently and seamlessly.
Whenever we asked him to take care of something, he followed through promptly and diligently. Once arrangements had been made, he would personally call us to explain the details and provide updates, ensuring that we were always informed and never had to worry about missing anything important.
Many of our relatives and friends commented on how thoughtfully organized and meaningful the funeral service was. The truth is that I was unfamiliar with much of the process myself. Mark was the one quietly guiding and supporting us behind the scenes every step of the way, and he deserves all the credit. Even my boss took the time to personally compliment him on his professionalism and exceptional service.
Mark is truly a rare and outstanding individual. I sincerely hope your organization will do everything possible to retain such an exceptional employee. I believe that, for Mark, this is far more than just a job. He genuinely cares about the families he serves and provides support and compassion during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. His kindness, sense of responsibility, and professionalism are greatly appreciated.
Although we only knew him for a few short weeks, everything he did for me and my family left a lasting impression on us. I feel fortunate to have met him, and I am grateful to now consider him a friend.“

Thank you to the entire team especially to Benjamin Cheung for being so kind and providing such seamless service. Although my friend's family ultimately decided to go with another funeral home, my experience with Richmond Funeral Home was exceptional. Everyone was caring, empathetic, and easy to work with, making a very difficult process much more manageable. Based on my interactions with the team, I would not hesitate to recommend Richmond Funeral Home to friends and family.“

5455 Fraser St, Vancouver““Killed by Electric Car.”
The 1904 gravestone of 10-year-old Eddie Lukov is an uncanny reminder of the resettlement of Vancouver in the early age of industrialized progress. Potentially killed along the emerging electric streetcar corridor running on the old Indigenous trail and early Westminster/Kingsway route — before Fraser Street (North Arm Road) fully emerged as major commercial residential corridor. Stories like these echoes a city shaped by engineers like Tesla, Edison, and repopulated by migrants from places like Yiddish-Polish-Austrian Galicia into an emerging grand villages worlds away: to the original Granville core then South and out around Vancouver“

Pretty much the last thing I was looking to do was shop around or deal with details, and from the first phone call they took over the process and helped make it easy. Pricing felt fine to me, nothing seemed unreasonable. It truly seemed like they sympathized with my situation and they helped me deal with it professionally and with care.“

The finished product was an exact replica of my layout. Moreover, the turnaround was quick and pricing extremely competitive. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a marker made up to contact Raincoast Memorials.“

SETTING: Nice pathways around the park with very dignified settings including benches and rocks used as gravestones. Quiet and peaceful.
GROUNDS: Well kept and orderly. Grass is cut. Nothing is overgrown that was noticeable.
GRAVESTONES: Seems like they date from the mid 1970s to about 2010. At least the majority of them.“
