My grandparents on my dad's side of the family are buried here. I visit their graves on their birthdays or when I am in the Vancouver area.Mountain View Cemetery is a big cemetery to go for a walk with your dog or to visit your loved ones who are buried there. I mainly stay away from cemeteries, because I can feel the strong negative vibe energy of trapped souls that are not at rest. It's interesting to read the graves of someone's life or go on remembrance day to honour our veterans. The cemetery stretches for miles. If you want to be closely your loved one this is the place to go.
I was here for a recent internment with close friends and family. I noticed that the staff were very open to answering questions and also respected our cultural traditions with regards to burning incense and when the niche stone was put on they did a quick respectful bow. I appreciated the fact that they took the time to do all these small little things. Thank you to the staff at Mountain View for your inclusive and welcoming attitude.
One of the nicest places to walk. It is calm and gorgeous, a lovely place to spend quiet time. The views it offers of the North Shore Mountains are panoramic. The "middle" section of the cemetery is especially beautiful in early autumn as the walkways are lined with deciduous trees.
