We had another company out just two weeks ago for a basement backup, but the issue came back again—so this time we called in the big dogs. Roto-Rooter sent Joel, and I couldn't be more impressed. Even though he’s only been with the company for about 8 months, he was as knowledgeable and professional as any tech I’ve met, including guys who’ve been doing this for years.

He took the time to explain what might be going on, answered all my questions without rushing, and even walked me through long-term solutions like a backwater valve. Friendly, clear, and genuinely helpful—exactly the kind of service you hope for but rarely get.

If this is what he brings to the table at 25 and under a year on the job, Roto-Rooter has a serious asset. Great experience all around. Give that guy a raise.

I also wanted to point out that after finishing he put little booties on the wheels of his machine so it didn't track sewage all the way up my carpeted stairs like the last company did! He did it without me even mentioning it so it seems like standard practice.

Dave or his associate have always come the same day if it was an emergency situation. I am very grateful for all of the years of prompt great service! I have never felt overcharged. Once he even did not charge me as his associate did not finish the job as Dave would have expected him to.“
