We initially reached out to fix some rot around the basement door that had leaking problems, and Matt thoroughly inspected the issue and helped us solve the underlying moisture problems. He was more thorough and knowledgeable than other contractors we spoke to (my husband said "I wish we had found Matt sooner!"). While there were several issues that needed to be fixed (leaking door, bad drainage, improper flashing), Matt was super reasonable to work with at getting them fixed and advising us on best practices for what we could do ourselves.I appreciated that he took extra steps for safety and site clean up, given we had a toddler in the house. “I contracted Sound Siding to replace old, degraded LP siding with hardie plank on my chimney and ended up having them redo the siding on the south facing side of my home where I'd had some previous water damage as well. Their original chimney quote was competitive and they took care to ensure details such as the flashing and a new drip edge were properly installed. When requested to expand the job they worked with me on timing and costs to come to an agreement. The attention to detail in splash guards, quality paint for the weather and a long history of dealing with Western Washington weather patterns was outstanding. The onsite crew were professional, hard working and pleasant - always willing to discuss what they were working on and show me the progress. I will use them again when it's time to reside the rest of the house.“
“We've turned to Signature Window & Door many times over the past several decades. We used them to replace many single pane windows in our home with double pane and to replace old double panes that were failing. They've also replaced sliding glass doors in our home and in a second property. The most recent job they did for us involved multiple windows in a section of an old house where settling had resulted in a wall with significant tilt. Their crew did a beautiful job of adjusting the window placement to account for the tilt. Owner, Brent Lucas, son of the former owner, really knows his products, listens well to customer concerns, and designs solutions that result in great outcomes. When we were dealing with installation on the tilted wall, Brent came out personally to make sure he, and we, were satisfied with the installers' remedy for the tilt. “Synapse did the siding and window installation on a three townhouse building back in 2019. I was very pleased with the service at the time, but even more impressed when I noticed that the hardi trim was bowing out. I hired a carpenter to repair one of them and he pointed out that the fasteners that were used were not the ones recommended. I called Synapse and they came to take a look and clarified that the fasteners that were used were the ones recommended in 2019, but the manufacturer had since changed the spec to require a fastener/screw with a head on it. While Synapse did not have any obligation to come and put additional fasteners with heads on, they did so without charge. I see this kind of response as what true professional companies do and I would recommend Synapse to anyone. I would have recommended them before this problem, but their response to the problem makes them a 10 star company in my experience.“
