“We worked with Dmitry and the Emerald City Construction team to renovate two major spaces in our 1920s Seattle craftsman: an outdated kitchen (much needed, as you can see from the before photo) and a basement build-out (including a new bathroom, laundry, and living space). Everyone was collaborative from start to finish, and with updating the house on our minds again, we wanted to recap our experience for anyone else considering their own home renovations now!

Dmitry kept us updated through every stage of the process, from initial scoping and mid-project adjustments to the final walkthroughs. Even before work began, he helped us think through how to phase our projects based on what we needed in the moment vs. what we might want in the future. After the work wrapped, he stayed in touch for warranty touch-ups and even helped us spitball ideas for potential next updates.

Eric was our main on-site contractor and always made time to talk through decisions, no matter how many questions we had (and we had a lot — sorry, Eric!), whether it was about framing timelines or something as specific as outlet placements. On the design side, Alena guided us through everything from the big-picture layout to aesthetic details like mixed-metal hardware and lighting. She was always flexible when we wanted to explore options and gave us thoughtful recommendations and visual references that helped us feel sure and happy about our final choices.

We also appreciated the extended crew and ECC partners who helped bring everything together. A big shoutout to Timothy from European Custom Cabinets in Arlington for the beautiful cabinetry in both our kitchen and laundry, Nikita from the site crew for all the demo and prep work, and everyone else who had a hand in making our space feel like home. When I decided to sell my home, I suddenly had a long pre-listing punch list from my real estate agent and only a short window to get everything done. Wilson’s team jumped in again. Cen and his brother Aidan handled the outside perimeter — walls, deck, yard, locks, and more — while Mario and his crew took care of the interior work, including doors, painting, electrical, appliances, and all the little details that matter when getting a home ready to list.

From the moment I decided to sell, we were able to plan, source materials, schedule crews, and complete the work in about three weeks. The team stayed on schedule, stayed very close to the original budget, and delivered when it truly mattered.

It all paid off. My home sold within 10 days in a tough 2026 market where even great, well-located, well-priced homes can sit for weeks or months.
