“We finished a major remodel with American Remodeling Experts in late 2023, including our kitchen, master bathroom, powder room and flooring on our 1st level. We selected this company after interviewing 12 general contractors, and we are very happy with the end result.- Quality: Amir assembled a great team of professional sub-contractors who took pride in their work. On most days, the core team worked on our house from 8.30am to 7pm, and cleaned up after themselves really well. Other sub-cons came to our job site many times until we were satisfied with the smallest details. Amir personally vetted all finish items’ specifications to minimize installation risks before we made purchases .- On-time delivery: We moved out to a temp apartment to escape construction dust. To our surprise, Amir finished our big remodel within 12 weeks as promised on his contract. His project manager, Sveta, was super responsive to our texts/calls, frequently updating on-site progress with lots of details and photos.- Customer care: Amir was a great listener. We had a terrible remodel experience in our first home 8 years ago, and became extremely careful with this remodel. We asked a million questions, and Amir always answered them with great technical details. On occasions that we disagreed with each other, Amir always showed patience and chose to protect our benefits. Amir was also very understanding of our remodel anxiety. Although our project was unexpectedly delayed 1 week due to our baby’s hospitalization, Amir still managed to move stuffs around to ensure the remodel finish on time. After we moved out to our temp apartment, his team carefully lined up plastic walls around working areas and turned on an industrial air purifier to prevent dust spreading to other parts of our house. At the end, he also sent in a team of cleaners to freshen up the space before we moved home. Up till today, Amir is still very responsive to our home-related questions.- Design: Amir is not the type of contractors who simply take your money and say yes to all your asks. He’d push you to think out of the box, and explore bold design elements that make your house “uniquely you”. I really enjoy my new kitchen and master bathroom as both functional and creative spaces.- Cost: This company was not cheap. In fact, it was one of the most expensive companies among the 12 GCs we interviewed. We went ahead with Amir because we knew apart from price, on-time delivery and quality were very important to us. Amir understood our budget constraint, so he helped us source for affordable finish items that still met our design requirements. Thanks to his contractor discounts, we saved ~10K for quartz countertop and cabinets.“

“Hire LYD Construction to remove a wall in my tiny garage, so I can park a full length car in. Working with the team was very smooth. They worked out all the engineering and permit sign offs so that the city has proper records of the structural change. Inspectors commented that we overdid it with an I-beam support :)Team was very professional, communicative, and respective of our schedules. We always knew when they would arrive to work or when we have a waiting period between inspection and next steps.“

“Thorough and thoughtful process. Very professional and collaborative group of folks. We are quite pleased with our full first floor remodel including a full kitchen redesign down to the studs. Emerald City helped us end-to-end from CAD designs, vendor/material selection, build out, interior finishes, etc. Our project was originally scoped for 10 weeks, but due to a few supply chain delays it wrapped in 14 weeks. The budget for the entire remodel was set from the beginning so we knew all of the costs from the outset. There was only one change to the budget which added unforeseen costs to the project. Ultimately the remodel went 2.7% over our agreed upon budget. Emerald City was responsive and thorough when we had requests for minor tweaks throughout the projects (style of light switches, paint touch ups, replacing a few backsplash tiles). Overall, working with Emerald City Construction was an entirely positive experience and I would recommend anyone consider them for their remodel project.“

“Exceptional in every way! We decided at the last minute to paint the entire interior of our main level, as well as all the doors, closets, trim, stair skirting, and metal stair railings. We obtained multiple quotes and Jose stood out for several reasons - he was super fast to respond, punctual, took the time to explain the entire process in detail for the quote, and sent a quote to us very quickly. His quote was very reasonable and he even fit our work in at very short notice! He and his team even worked on the weekend to accommodate our bathroom remodeler. “Mocon is amazing!!! I moved into a new place in the summer and it needed some work, so I’ve worked with several contractors. Mocon has been the best BY FAR. I had 4 companies give me estimates. 2 were general contractors and 2 were fence specialists. Mocon gave me the best bid by thousands. He gave me an estimate quickly.I called him on a Monday to schedule, and the fence was done by that weekend. He originally asked if we could do it on Friday and Monday, but I told him that because I had chickens, I needed it done faster. He said they would come Thursday and Friday instead! It was awesome because I was expecting to have to wait a week.He said they would show up at 9 and they came around 9:10 both days. This was great, because most contractors are always 1 hr + late. They came a little later I think because it was freezing and they wanted to let the ground thaw a bit.When they got here, they went over the project with me and it turned out that there was a miscommunication with them and they thought I wanted a little less than I did. Ron called me within 10 min with the new quote that was still a couple thousand less than the other guys.They worked quickly and quietly, and were respectful of my animals and property. Most of the contractors I’ve worked with drag out and mess around and end up being there the whole day. I don’t really mind, but I don’t like a ton of noise for my neighbors when they get home from work. The crew was gone by 3 both days and stuck to the plan.The fence looks BEAUTIFUL!!! I am impressed and I honestly didn’t think it was going to look so nice.TLDR; Mocon is amazing and I will hire them again when I need to replace my back fence. You should hire them too!“

“We had a pin pile project done back in Spring 2022, and had a wonderful experience working with Greg and his team. Communication was top notch and Greg kept us updated on every step of the project, and answered every questions. One of the most honest company I've worked with and so happy we went with them! They provided the most comprehensive work in terms of prep and finishes, connecting us with geoengineers, etc. Please don't fall for commercials advertising foundation work, the best guys don't need to advertise, they go by word of mouth like Dochnahl. These guys will give you peace of mind, and will follow up to ensure you're happy with the outcome.“

“Dan and Jon were recommended to me by my family and provided us with excellent, quality work. For context, we purchased a condo and the previous owner tried to complete a lot of fixes themself; unfortunately, this meant that repairs were often haphazard and have led to problems and needs for repair down the line.Dan was incredibly responsive in spite of his busy schedule (a testament to his services being in demand), and showed great flexibility in scheduling a date for the work to be completed. Initially, he and Jon were just going to replace the grout work in our shower, but once the tiles were pulled, they discovered moisture/water damage.Dan provided us with tiered options, and walked us through each, discussing price and the potential future impacts. He gave us his expert advice and we proceeded with the best fit solution for us. Dan and Jon ended up replacing that section of our shower wall and re-tiled it; after, they fixed the grout for our shower in entirety. They did exceptional work and our shower looked like it was new!I also followed up with him to ask about how we could continue to maintain their wonderful work long-term, and he gave us detailed information about sealant that would ensure the grout was protected.Last, I want to note how warm and transparent he was in walking us through the repairs - not only were Dan and Jon incredibly professional and skilled at providing exceptional work, but their customer service was incredibly memorable.
