“After looking around and finding several “morons“ and dishonest people trying to give me the flat fee BS when I walked in with my key fob, looking to get it just cut and only cut usually before I even open my mouth. I am given the spiel of just how much it would cost should cost this that and if I were to do it on my own, it probably wouldn’t take it probably be susceptible to People hacking it or I wouldn’t do it right one guy even said something. You probably messed it up. I’m not gonna call him out publicly. That’s just a little more than rude. On my part. I try to keep it business like. However Bergman‘s lock and key I walk in this gentleman was at the counter in a wisp. Quick clean business like. I asked him if he could cut the key he said he could. He said he would not be able to do the programming. I said that would be great because that’s all I’m asking is just the cutting and I told him about my earlier experience. I said that is inappropriate he mentioned I said I agree. As young gentleman With the properly pulled up here cause I too have longer hair and he had it pulled up in a nice manner presented professionally I might add, he did his craft swiftly and presented me with the key fob. I walked in with what along with a smile, and I hope that I might come back sometime with further business and I probably will because that was a pleasant and no BS Experience.

To have somebody quote you $195 flat fee to program it and cut it before you even open your mouth come on people at least give your customers a chance to let you know what they need before ramming down what you wanna sell them that’s not how you stay in business.“

“Quick, easy, cheap, no need to be personable with anyone, the machine I used was inside of a grocery store, so not every machine available 24/7.
After the process was complete, I compared the 2 keys, old and new, some grooves on the new key didn’t match up identically to the old key. For instance, some grooves on the old had a deeper, more sharper “V” like shape, whereas the new key had a more “U” like shape. I didn’t think it would work and thought maybe I’d need to find my old filing set and file away at this key so it’d match up identically. However, when I got home, I inserted the key into my door, it unlocked it without issue, just as my old key always had. No need for the old file set, it can remain missing for now.“
