“My husband and I decided to completely finish our basement (we had a partial done with the original builder). In starting the process, we went on Angi’s list and also spoke with neighbors and friends before choosing Oakhill Building from a few other contractors. One of our neighbors used them for two projects and were very happy with them. From the beginning, we were so impressed. One of the contractors we interviewed wanted to rip out our existing ceiling (adding so much $ to the cost) for no reason. Another asked if we wanted to have an official inspection (so that was a red flag). We had a specific idea in mind following the style of our home and they came through with flying colors. We showed them pictures and ideas and they put it together for us. They installed a beautiful full bar with a stone back splash, created a wine nook from a computer nook with a stone back splash, installed a stone wall in main area with an electric fireplace and finished our workout room. Tom and Nick Vitalie were so easy to work with; incredibly knowledgeable and very professional as well as honest. They were very in tune to detail and nothing was done without perfection. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. We are so happy with our finished basement. It is beautiful. I highly recommend Oakhill Building. You will be more than satisfied.“

“Alex and the team he had working on our house were great. Honesty, integrity and customer satisfaction are clearly high on their list. We were around (living/working in the house) for most of the reno that involved our kitchen, family room, an entrance hall, a "mudroom" space, and a powder-room bath. I often consulted with them as work progressed to see how we could make things exactly right. They were very responsive and followed up on everything. They were happy to take our "game-time" requests and sometimes their suggestions saved us from our own inexperience. I thought they were fair about what was an included adjustment and what would require a change-order. Additionally, they finished ahead of schedule. Scheduling was smooth with very little downtime. Something was happening every day and we were back in our new kitchen ahead of the holidays.“

“I received several kitchen remodeling estimates and SkillsDesign was the only company that suggested rearranging the layout which then allows me to have standard or full size appliances, instead expensive nonstandard sizes. So for less than the cost of the difference between a special size dishwasher and a standard size dishwasher, they suggested to rearrange the footprint and than my door would come out to my back porch, essentially adding square footage to my tiny house. It was brilliant. I was in surprised no one else suggested that and I just got an overwhelming feeling that they cared and I feel that is not something you find very often anymore, a company that cares and SKillsDesign does and it’s a local family owned business. Unfortunately I’m not in the area, so I was sadly only able to use them for the designing, but it was well worth it. I also have a very small space, so they took the time and designed every single cabinet to my specifications. The communication was excellent and they were always on time and if you’re lucky enough to live in the area, I would highly recommend using them for any and all remodeling projects as they have many talents and can turn your remodeling project to something that will blow away any and all competition. “We have had five years of very good experience with our Waterfurnance unit and ground loop installed by North American GeoThermal. Occasionally our unit would go off line due to electrical storms so last year we had North American install the Intellistart component to forestall this from happening. This past year, the unit operated flawlessly. Peter did a great job incorporating our initial design needs into a unique design for our backyard & dealt with challenging elevation changes. We started the project in December '22 & it was complete mid May '23. The extended timeline of a winter build was a bit frustrating at times but as promised our pool was completed per contract before summer.
