We are both in our seventies and I am recovering from a recent stroke, so when our AC went out Sunday night it was extremely hard for us. We got a recommendation to contact them and even though our AC was not a brand they usually support Judy promised to see if one of their technicians could help us. She was able to send some one to us that afternoon.

He quickly diagnosed the problem as a capacitor that had failed. Since it was a standard part he was able to replace it right away. He than took the extra time to make sure that our air handler was working correctly and that there was the right temperature difference between outgoing and returning air. We were more than pleased with their service and commitment to customers.“

“Ben did a nice job fixing a problem that wasn't his fault. Here's my story. Had 2 different service calls for a home AC unit not working correctly, Ben was not involved in the service calls. 1st service call diagnostic was it's hot out. 2nd service call not Ben on this call either was very thorough and diagnose was a very expensive part. Decided to install new unit. Ben did install the new unit and did a very good job. The next day the new AC wasn't working correctly had to have another service call to fix the problem with the new AC unit. After that service call it still didn't work correctly. Had another service call to find the problem. Ben the installer and his partner came back and finally found the problem which I think was a faulty thermostat wire inside the wall somewhere. Pretty expensive wire.“

This company -- Matt, particularly -- provides the best customer experience you're going to find in Central Ohio and runs circles around some of the go-to names that offer run-arounds, discourteous service, and no follow-up, not to mention absurd mark-ups and a strategy to sell you something you don't need. “Performance earned my business by being good at the customer side of things. Around Memorial Day our system went out. Original system (a York) that came with the house. Our old HVAC company was putting on the high pressure sales, which made me want more opinions. When Pate and Tim showed up, they gave me a price, told me how they’d fix things, and told me it would be a couple extra days. In the meantime, Pate said he’d support us with a refrigerant refill and keep us going until installation.

Installation went smoothly, they were punctual, courteous, and Chandler and Kevin were hard working. We got a brand new system with a 10 year warranty that’s transferable. I figured I wouldn’t have to see these guys again outside of the twice yearly maintenance they do as part of the service plan.

I was wrong. My mother in law's system went out just before Labor Day. I called Tim on Tuesday evening, he looked things over Wednesday morning. Thursday at 8am they began the install in an attic. It was 95 degrees that day so well over 100 in the attic. chandler and Kevin did the install again and they worked their tales off. The price was right, and unlike the competition, they quoted us a system that the house needed, not just one that fit an 86 year old's budget.

Bottom line- buying this stuff is hard. it's all very expensive. What Performance does different is expert advice, no high pressure, clean installation, and a product you can trust, with world-class customer service.
