“I have used GAD A few times over the past few years. They are always extremely quick to resolve issues that I have had to both boiler and HVAC units. In the past with other people I have called for service, GAD Has always been very honest whether it be with service needed and cost. They’ve always given me pointers on how to keep things running smoothly and explain to me what needs to be done. It’s by far the best service provider I have found in Dutchess county. “We’re fairly new to Peekskill and during the process of settling in, we’ve had problems with our HVAC system. We asked around for referrals and our neighbors unanimously suggested that we contact Metro-Aire. From the very first service appointment, it was clear that this is a company that values customers and stands by its work. We purchased a service plan to ensure year-round maintenance. Recently, we had an issue with our AC unit. Following a service call, one problem was fixed but another one arose. Since it was a weekend, the owner, himself, came to examine the problem. He stayed on the job until he got the system to work. While thanking him, his response was brief and to the point. He simply said, “We take good care of our customers.” Metro-Aire does just that. We had several people come and look at the problem and make suggestions. Out of everyone that came Joe and his team were by far the most honest, professional and knowledgeable. Joe answered all our questions and then we had more questions the next day and he was just kept answering all our questions.We finally decided to spend the several thousand dollars of repair with Joe and his team. “I called Taconic after a very long 2 years dealing with the company that installed my Carrier air condition and gas furnace. The company that installed my system was a local company out of Harrison NY, (Evolution HVAC) but I realized that they didn’t have the slightest interest in getting it to work properly. Many issues with the furnace went uncorrected to this date.Fast forward 2 years and a lot of grief, emails that weren’t returned and phone calls that weren’t answered.I called Taconic and spoke to Linda who was very friendly and made you feel like you knew her for years. She dispatched Omar the next day who was an “outstanding tech” who left no stone unturned and found the problem with my furnace. My greatest admiration goes to this company and above all Omar who is a credit to his company for not only finding the problem, but in the way he worked explaining everything he was doing as he was doing it. “Our 7 year old LG refrigerator, which has never had any problems, suddenly stopped cooling. I called LG customer support and they concluded it was probably the compressor, which was the only thing still covered under warranty. I researched authorized service companies on the LG website, but when I called around, some did not service LG products, some only worked in Connecticut, some could not help me for 3 to 4 weeks, etc. ATR Appliance Tech Repair was the only one who could help me. When I initially spoke with Donna on the phone she was very helpful, explained what the cost would be, and told me she could have a technician to my house within 2 days. Shane and Leroy were very professional and efficient and were able to replace the compressor and get our refrigerator working again at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. “Paul was very thorough in explaining our options. They provided top tier products at a very competitive price. When the heat load calculation came back higher than expected, the additional equipment needed (which increased the work load) was extremely reasonable.The crew was terriffic! They did an excellent, neat job. They were very accommodating in some minor changes. There is a lot of equipment involved, and they did as concise and neat a job laying it out and installing it as I could have asked. The job took about two weeks and they were on time every morning and cleaned up at the end of each day.The heat pump mini splits are a very different experience from the hot water radiators we were using. It's only been a few days, and we're learning how best to use them for our needs. My wife had been concerned that they would not heat the house as effectively as the huge, cast iron radiators. That has not been the case! We have more of an issue overheating. Paul has been a great help guiding us, and I'm sure that our heating struggles on the coldest days are in the past.One final thing- get the optional Wi-Fi control and remote sensors. They are a little pricey, but we have 6 head units running on two condensers over two floors. Being able to check the temperature throughout the house before getting out of bed is much better than having to go room to room with the remotes.“
