“We had quite the experience this winter and cannot thank Airquip Heating & Air Conditioning enough for helping us through it.
We started noticing an unusual amount of humidity in our house. So much, that there was literal dew forming on our windows. We ended up buying two dehumidifiers just to keep up with it. About a month later, we lost heat and finally decided to check our crawl space.
Mind you, this space is only about four feet tall and we rarely ever go down there, but that’s where our furnace is located. When my husband opened the basement hatch, we discovered at least two feet of standing water. The entire time, the humidity issue had actually been coming from a flooded crawl space we didn’t even know existed.
The culprit was a failed sump pump. Once that was replaced, we started the massive process of drying everything out. Honestly, this could have turned into a disaster requiring a full furnace replacement, but thankfully Airquip was able to repair the damage by replacing a few corroded parts instead.
Heat was restored, and life immediately got better.
