“Since moving to Rochester, we've worked with Empire for both a boiler replacement, and an installation of a new mini-split A/C system. On both installations, the team was courteous and friendly. While we had some issues with the boiler after installation, they were always quick to follow up and fix/patch any leaks. They treat us like family. “Let me start by saying that of the multiple firms I contacted about insulation, Wise was the only one to perform a fan-door test to see the actual condition of the structure from a leakage standpoint. Rather an important thing overall. They, also, then repeated the test after having completed the work and the house was at least twice as tight with regards to leakage as before.

The crew responsible for my work consisted of Li, Sean, Brian, Stave and Nelson of the crew lead. I have to complement them on performing the work efficiently and under less-than-ideal conditions as I had a very tight window due to changes to a prior commitment. Coupling to this was being short-handed the first day of work which slowed things down.

Still, they got the entire job done by working late on the final day. The work was done professionally and accomplished what I needed in terms of sealing leaks and improving the insulation in the attic and crawlspace. I have already seen an improvement in the comfort of the house and a decrease in utility bills.“

“We had quite the experience this winter and cannot thank Airquip Heating & Air Conditioning enough for helping us through it.

We started noticing an unusual amount of humidity in our house. So much, that there was literal dew forming on our windows. We ended up buying two dehumidifiers just to keep up with it. About a month later, we lost heat and finally decided to check our crawl space.

Mind you, this space is only about four feet tall and we rarely ever go down there, but that’s where our furnace is located. When my husband opened the basement hatch, we discovered at least two feet of standing water. The entire time, the humidity issue had actually been coming from a flooded crawl space we didn’t even know existed.

The culprit was a failed sump pump. Once that was replaced, we started the massive process of drying everything out. Honestly, this could have turned into a disaster requiring a full furnace replacement, but thankfully Airquip was able to repair the damage by replacing a few corroded parts instead.

Heat was restored, and life immediately got better.
