Before coming into Pure Paws last week, I was going to Ivy Pets in Tribecca where I had some bad experiences. Previously, I paid over $1000 to take an unnecessary X-ray where I had to wait over 24 hours for results. At Pure Paws, they saw my dog Jack immediately and I received results / analysis for his X-ray in minutes.

Additionally, for his visit, X-ray, and medication I paid just over $600, far less for way better service. Also, everyone was extremely nice and helpful and Curly at the front desk even left me with some nice gifts for Jack at the end of my visit. Will definitely be making this my new clinic for Jack.“

“My sweet cat was not feeling well, and I just moved so I didn't know where to get really loving and supportive kitty care. I was also unable to take him in myself. My partner brought him in, and he was seen by Dr. Canales. I was on speakerphone as she discussed options, pricing, and follow up. Even though I couldn't be there, I felt so comforted and grateful that we chose this veterinary office. I am so pleased with her attention to detail, how kind and informative she is, and I'm grateful to have found the right place for both of my boys. I hope never to have an emergency situation again. “After months of trying to treat my cat’s strange breathing problems and more recent Horner’s syndrome, I took my cat here for an internal medicine consult with Dr. Ferreri and Alyssa. They were both deeply kind and courteous. They thoroughly examined and explained the existing documentation + considered all the possibilities given my boy’s medical history. Best yet, they explained the reasoning behind treatment decisions both past and present. I found this last bit very reassuring (in spite of my chronic worries as a pet parent). If you’re in doubt, don’t be!! This is definitely the place.“

“Honestly this place is expensive, but vet care has always been that way but it’s so much more here. I have been calling nonstop because my little baby has been sick. I have never met such a compassionate team. Dr.Fracapane is so understanding and thorough, always explaining everything so I don’t get confused. Wendy is extremely patient and kind, listening to me complain and the nonstop questions. They both speak to you as a friend, not just a customer with sweet soft voices(you come to appreciate this when your dog is going through a rough patch). There is not a price I would not pay to get this kind of service. I cannot recommend Heart of Chelsea enough, thank you for all you do.“

“My dog had an episode one night where he was dizzy and staring at walls. We took him to the Tribecca emergency room. They charged us over $3K and t9ld us he may have 4 hours left to live because he may be septic. We then went to EVG and they said he may have rectal cancer, the bill was $9700. We then waited 2 days and went to Battey Park Vet, they looked over the results and told us he just had Ecoli. That bill was $120. Had I gone here first I would have saved almost $14K. Dr. Berger and Dr. Lopresti are favorites. Kobe loves them. This vet is like having competent family members.“

Dr. Abusada was incredibly knowledgeable and able to diagnose an acute skin issue that no one else had been able to diagnose and treat. From the first email I sent to East Village Animal Clinic explaining how nervous and timid Picasso can be they put me at ease. Picasso has been to the clinic twice now for vaccinations and both times every single member of staff we’ve interacted with from the receptionists to the vet nurses to veterinarians have been so patient and friendly. Dr. Lowenstein is the very best ever. He is gentle, intuitive, optimistic and thoroughly professional. He recently put my best four-legged friend for twenty years to sleep. I would not have had the pleasure of her company for so long had it not been for his careful diagnosis and recommended medications which allowed her to live as long as she did without any pain or discomfort. And the added benefit of house calls rather than the traumatic visits out of the home to go to a vet was a true luxury. I cannot recommend Dr. Lowenstein highly enough. He is a real treasure.“
