“Because it was Sunday and because this was an adoption through the ASPCA I was told to come here. My kitten stopped eating 3 days after being spayed. I must admit that I was scared from previous horrible reviews, but happy to say the experience and care was very good. I was warned by the ASPCA that if my visit wasn't assessed as an emergency the wait could be 3-4 hours. I was immediately put in a private room. The vet tech took my information and gave the kitten a quick look over. We were not deemed an emergency. True to form they took my kitten to the back 3-1/2 hours after my arrival. 20 minutes later I met Dr. LaPorte. She couldn't have been any sweeter or kinder and certainly not an alarmist. If not for the wait I would rate the experience 5 stars.“

“If I could give a million star rating I would. Dr. East saw our boy Todd first last week for what we hoped would be a routine check up, upon exam she immediately noted a large abdominal mass and recommended gold standard veterinary care and referrals. She handled our boy with kindness and compassion as well as discussing all of our options thoroughly and answering all of our questions. Yesterday we saw Dr. Ratcliff who also treated our sweet boy with the same dignity, respect, and high quality veterinary care. Completing the first steps of testing for his cancer diagnosis, and carefully selecting the medications he needed to be comfortable. She called us immediately upon receiving test results which unfortunately resulted in Todd’s final veterinary visit at the ER after hours. We were told where to go, what may happen, and Todd’s records were immediately sent out. This vet clinic is efficient, compassionate, and how every vet clinic should be modeled after from the technician’s fear-free approach, the doctor’s high quality of medicine, and the office staff’s efficiency. The office is clean and well thought out to be “fear free certified” which is just another sign of how important your animal’s experience is to this hospital’s staff. Because of this clinic, Todd did not suffer or feel any pain in his final days, and we are forever thankful for that. People like this vet hospital make the world a better place. Thank you.“

We started coming here towards the end of our French bulldog’s life, but they definitely saved him more than once and provided medication and guidance on specialists to improve the quality of his remaining days as well. When he passed away (peacefully at home), we had him cremated with them and they provided us with the cutest little paw print keepsake. I saw our vet (Dr. V) on the streets weeks after his passing and she recognized me right away and hugged me for what seemed like forever while I sobbed over our loss.Dr. V and the entire team at Greenpoint Vets are top notch. Once I got there the facility was clean, the front desk was efficient, and all of the staff were great. He is the MOST responsive, kind and knowledgable vet I have ever known. He came to our apartment several times. He was extremely kind to our 18 year old cat Stuart who became violently ill when he even saw a carrier. He made his last weeks so gentle and bearable. Dr. Lowenstein is amazingly responsive, answering my calls, texts and emails within minutes or hours. His kindness and attentiveness extended to the most excruciatingly difficult moments at the end of our cat's life which happened at home, in a place on our couch that Stuart loved. Dr. Lowenstein made this very difficult moment almost bearable. A million thanks to this amazingly humane and gifted medical genius.“
