This place is truly special: the coaches are incredibly supportive, empathetic, patient, humble and are skilled beyond belief. The way they approach both kids’ and adults’ training is something to observe. Come here for training, stay for the camaraderie, some of the coolest moves and people you’ll ever know.“

Highly recommend. Ricky the owner is a great guy and made me feel welcomed as soon as I stepped foot in the gym.“

9 North Airmont Road, 2nd Floor Suite #220, Suffern“NY United BJJ has truly changed my life. I decided to join a class on a whim, and almost two years later it’s become a foundation of my life. Besides what I’ve gained physically, it’s changed my outlook on life, inspiring me to value discipline, commitment and to believe in myself.
Khyl is an amazing instructor. He’s tough and will push you to your limit—no games or excuses here. But he truly cares, so it’s a rare combination of motivation without the harshness.
The team is beyond wonderful . I had no athletic experience at all, and still everyone was so welcoming and willing to help me learn. There’s a sense of deep humility and a pure desire to share with others, regardless of belt level.
I truly have no words to describe what this school has done for me. If you want authenticity, focus and pure drive—this is where it’s at.“
4 - 8PM
145 Palisade St, Dobbs Ferry“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Edge! I have 2 young children at Edge and they are thriving. Karate, overall, seems great for kids' development, but the team at Edge is extra special.
My children have had Senseis Eric and Jackie and both are really wonderful with young children. My Littles have wildly different personalities, and both are thriving due to the way Edge folks instruct, support, and guide them. The Senseis make the inherent challenge of karate (emotionally) safe and accessible to even young children. We are delighted to continue karate at Edge and tell our friends to come join us!“
9AM - 8:30PM
28 Welcher Ave, Peekskill“I recently took a women's self-defense class at Go No Sen and it was truly empowering. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and capable. I learned practical techniques that I can apply in real-life situations. The atmosphere was supportive and encouraging. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost their confidence and learn valuable skills.“

96 Main St # A, Dobbs Ferry“Dobbs Ferry Karate's dojo has been an astounding place for growth, confidence-building, maturity, bonding, community and family for our now-first degree black belt since starting out as a white belt at age nine. From skills classes to training, experience as a senpei, weapons training, camp counselor experience and now as a sensei, Dobbs Ferry Karate has become a second home and is as much of a family to our sensei as family can be. The instructors, each with different teaching styles and techniques bring about many different strengths providing a diversity of learning experiences for those wanting to grow. And Shihan Chris is both tough and a guiding light for those who not only want to earn new belts but who also want to really excel and develop excellent standing and relationships with the dojo and staff. Our sensei depends on Dobbs Ferry Karate for a personal outlet, for zen, for exercise, for training, for friendship, and is looking very forward to training for more advanced belts. To top off Dobbs Ferry Karate as a pillar of martial arts in the Dobbs Ferry community, the school is also a fixture in the community offering camps and parent night out events, participating in local activities, and supporting area fundraising activities. Having deep generational roots in the area, this family-owned business is well respected by the community.“

19 W Prospect St, Waldwick“Master Cha's Summit Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do is really great. My daughter (age 5) was very scared and nervous the first day she went---she did not even want to go inside. Through kindness, humor, and encouragement Master Cha was able to persuade her to try----and she quickly looked forward to class each week. I saw how other children, like my daughter, improved their listening skills, ability to follow direction, and confidence because of Master Cha.“

19 1/2 N Main St, Pearl River“Both my sons have been under the tutelage of Shihan Mac Albus since they have been 4 years old. Now in their twenties, my kids have become friends with many of their Kimura Shukokai International peers all over the World. The Pearl River dojo has become an extended family. Studying with Shihan Mac has made my boys confident, compassionate and mature beyond their age. In addition to the international medals they have won, they have become better in school, relationships, and life in general. If you or your children are in need of confidence building, physical health improvement, or want to learn a classical martial art that finds its roots in the original Okinawa masters - there is nowhere better than Mac Albus Kimura Shukokai Karate Center in Pearl River, NY. You will be welcome and will join a very friendly and close-knit community that will become your extended family as well. Goggle does not have enough stars that I can give this dojo that I am fortunate and proud to have in my kids' life.“

A combination of a great taekwondo teacher, a spiritual leader, a sensitive, and very funny person. My two sons really developed as athletes and as good people at the workout place. And they really enjoyed coming there multiple times each week.“

352 NY-59, Nyack“I (and my son (7 years old) have been training at 5150 for more than a year. This is a truly amazing place and I highly recommend it to anyone. For years, I tried a number of places to continue learning MMA; however, it never worked until I found Professor O'Keeffe. He is caring, thoughtful, skillful, fun, and tough all at the same time, which is a rare combination. He has a contagious love for jiu-jitsu and the innate ability to teach. My son also loves going to train. He has learning valuable skills (on and off the mat), has gained confidence and has fun. Professor Shapiro not only teaches valuable skills but also makes the classes fun and engaging. All and all, my family feels very lucky we found 5150 and recommended it to everyone.“
