“Ive been coming to Corinthian for the past few months for a lateral meniscus tear that surgeons wanted to operate on. Instead of doing shake and bake exercises they looked at where the pain was coming from which was my hip that was not moving, and my knee was not tracking correctly. Once I was out of pain I was giving totally different exercises standing to strengthen my knee, hip and work on balance.They are so caring give you their personal phone number with any questions.No surgery needed!“

“I confess, I own a bag that says "My yoga pants have never been to yoga" but my oncologist and naturopathic doctor have been strongly urging me to strengthen, stretch, move (aka exercise!) daily on my journey to heal from cancer. When my fitness-loving niece flew into town, we decided, instead of eating, to take a Pilates class together. We signed up for a Reformer All Levels Sunday afternoon class at Avea Pilates. I was a bit nervous because all of my previous (limited) experiences doing Pilates has been disappointing and self-esteem-crushing - I've walked out after classes sad and ashamed that I have the weakest "core" ever and non-existent upper body strength. I could never keep up with other students and the teachers always made me feel like the worst student. Avea Pilates is DIFFERENT! My niece and I walked into a beautiful sunlit studio greeted by our gorgeous instructor Victoria. The reformer machines were so clean, they looked brand new. The 12pm class only had one other student so with me and my niece makes 3, it practically seemed like a private class! Our teacher Victoria led us through the exercises on the reformer and without skipping a beat, gave each of us individualized guidance. She also has experience working with physical therapy patients so she smoothly and discreetly directed me to use the lighter hooks on some exercises (even changed them out for me on some stretches) knowing that I had limited range of motion on one side of my body. I felt so cared for, while at the same time, I was getting a great workout! A few of the Pilates exercises reminded me of ballet class - I was in my element! Success! I can do Pilates after all! Afterwards Victoria handed us these blue water bottles and a towel. Wow, I thought, this is luxury, beautiful water bottles to drink out of! No, it was a spray bottle of cleaner, we were asked to spray our reformer equipment and wipe them clean. That's fair and pretty smart! My mind and body already felt energized and refreshed from such a wonderful Pilates class so wiping down my machine was a breeze. Walking out of Victoria's class at Avea Pilates, my posture was straighter, my muscles felt longer and stronger and my self-confidence definitely had a boost!“

I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here! I’ve been to a ton of different gyms since moving back “home” to Australia but have never found a gem like Slope Fitness.I miss this gym so much! Great size, staff and atmosphere. “AMAZING VIRTUAL PILATES CLASS. the perfect amount of challenge combined with deep stretching in between exercises. I feel honored to have taken a class with Jesolyn, such an experienced instructor, with 30+ years of teaching (and it shows, hah!) Through out the class she made sure all the students were performing the exercises properly and she corrected our form if needed. She also gave modifications to tailor to each individual student. I suggest trying different instructors and finding what works best for you at each stage of your Pilates journey. Some classes are more intense than others. If you apply yourself and are consistent and committed, you will achieve transformative results. A special shout-out to Tetiana! “I’m so grateful that I found The Fit In. All instructors are all so kind, fun, and supportive during workouts. I love that there are three different locations within 20 minutes of each other and that when I buy my monthly pass I have the option to take classes at all three. Prices are also very reasonable, a month pass (4 classes per week) averages at $15 a class. They also have Pilates in the park, health events, and community happy hour.I just purchased my third monthly pass and I’ve seen such an improvement in my strength and lower back pain. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be at in a few months.“

It’s my favorite way to work out because it humbles me and makes me feel strong. The women at the front desk are so welcoming and take the time to get to know your name and welcome you in every time they see you. The instructors take the guessing out of working out because they are there to guide you and remind you on posture, form and how strong you are.
