1322 Gravesend Neck Rd, Brooklyn“The reason I chose EMS fitness was back pain after a spinal injury. I noticed improvements almost immediately, within the first week of training. A nice bonus was reduced body measurements and improved muscle definition. It’s a great alternative to long hours at the gym. I definitely recommend this place! ❤️“

808 Union St, Brooklyn“I’m writing this from Australia, just over 9 years since I left Brooklyn. I was casually looking through Google Maps and was so happy to see this place is still up and rocking… this remains the best gym I’ve ever been to in my life and I’ve got many great memories of my time here! I’ve been to a ton of different gyms since moving back “home” to Australia but have never found a gem like Slope Fitness.I miss this gym so much! Great size, staff and atmosphere. Ahh the hours I spent here were well worth it. Join and you’ll see what I mean!So happy to hear it’s still going strong after all this time:)“

309 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn“i think if you go into it expecting classical pilates, then studio morph is not that but i've also never seen it marketed as a classical pilates studio, nor has any instructor implied that it is. i'd compare it to solidcore - a workout that's pilates-inspired. there are two types of people: the classical pilates purists and the people who love a hard, pilates-inspired workout. if you're the latter, you'll LOVE SM. you get such a good workout. as someone who's been powerlifting for years (but had to stop for health reasons), my abs have never looked better and my core has never been stronger. i'd taken solidcore for a while before SM but the loud music and the dark room made it hard to see what others were doing and i didn't feel like i was personally getting the hands-on adjustments I needed to really feel the movements or know if i was doing them right. SM is much more my speed. the studio space is bright, the music isn't overpowering (and some instructors have great taste in music), and i appreciate the hands-on adjustments. AND every spot in the room is a good spot. as mentioned in the review below, there's truly no place to hide, which is both good and bad depending on the day lol. everyone is so sweet and friendly, and I genuinely look forward to going 2-3x/week. i've tried most of the pilates/pilates-ish studios in the area and imo, SM is by far the most challenging and enjoyable. i feel like i get a hard workout every time and tho it really does not get easier, i feel stronger!“

525 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn“Took my first class at 5 pm with Coach Wade. He was a phenomenal instructor and gave me extra care knowing it was new to me. He combined a playful upbeat vibe with motivation and excellent technique. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to give it a try. Wade is cream of the crop, chef’s kiss.“

2537 Cropsey Ave, Brooklyn“For whoever is reading this, you must talk to Skifter at least once! If you've decided to make a difference in your body and your daily life, he is not only an experienced and professional trainer but he will also be your mentor and good friend of life.I still remember the first time I saw him, I had been suffering from disc herniation for about five years, and I also had hyperthyroidism and mild depression. In less than six months with him, he turned me into a healthy and confident man. It means that I have a beautiful body shape that I have never dreamed of and I'm no longer suffering from any physical pain.To utilize your effort, he would do everything for you so you can achieve your goal. For six months, he woke up at around 4 o'clock on the training days so he could match my personal schedule. I don't think any other personal trainer in the local area will do the way he does and care the way he cares.Trust him and follow the plan that he customizes for you! Skifter is not only a trainer of your body but also your mind, I highly encourage you to give yourself an opportunity to at least talk to him and customize a personal training plan, you will never regret it.Skifter, if you are reading this. Thank you and I will be back soon.-Richard“

7721 Ridge Blvd Suite 25, Brooklyn“GG is an amazing trainer. I reached out to her for help with my lower back, hip and to improve my flexibility. I live in Atlanta Ga. I was in New York for the month of February. I had weekly sessions with GG. Within my first session the pain from my lower back had decreased significantly. Pain decreased from a 10 to 4. She is very knowledgeable and it shows. She will adjust your body ever so slightly and I could feel the difference. My sleep has improved and my energy level has increased. I came back to New York in March and continue with my sessions.GG is punctual and communication is clear.I have told all my friends about her. I wish she was in Atlanta however I will continue to have my sessions with GG when I am in New York.Lisa“

9:30AM - 5:30PM
732A Carroll St, Brooklyn“With in minutes of the first class of Yoga For Strong Bones, Jennifer showed me how to sit comfortably crosslegged with multiple props. I told her that I felt my investment was worth it with just that. She made me more aware of holding tension and releasing tension and breathing more effectively. She led us through 12 poses that are alleged, according to the NY Times, to prevent and even reverse osteoporosis. Jennifer brings her own special sauce by reading from a book of Rupi Kaur poems and creating a peaceful space that is calming to the nervous system.I am so appreciative for this amazing group of women that I share this experience with each week!“
6AM - 10PM
1086 Greene Ave 2nd floor, Brooklyn“Best trainer I've worked with - he tailors your workouts based on the physical activities that you do in your spare time, and he tries to promote holistic health unlike trainers that focus on just getting you sweating or lifting the highest number. I learned a lot not just about how to have good form when lifting, but also about stretching, overall habits (breathing/posture), and more. Also he's just a super friendly guy that grew up in the neighborhood; I'd consider him to be a friend as well as my trainer.“
“I have been training with Anna for over 6 months. She is the best. She is extremely knowledgable on workout and nutrition planning. I have done so many other forms of exercise and this by far has been the best. If you follow her program you will lose weight and get in shape faster than you expected. I highly recommend using her.“
“Honestly the best Pilates studio I’ve been to in more than 20 years of attending classes on and off. So many Pilates classes I’ve attended over the years have felt like light exercise at best, but The Fit In’s are a serious workout that leave your muscles feeling it afterwards (and have even left me sweating one or twice).“
4:30 - 7:30PM
101 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn“Jake is an incredible trainer. He is not simply a workout buff who started training other workout buffs; he has a serious education in biomechanics and related fields and is a genuine expert who knows how to make sure you get a proper workout. He also is great at tailoring your workout to your particular goal, and adapts as he learns what does and doesn’t work for you. Very grateful to have found him.“
“Faith is an amazing trainer and great person. During the initial consultation she takes your measurements. She trains, educates, and sets your macros to your specific needs. Every workout is different and pushes you. At the end of the day you send her your macros which I find much easier than following a meal plan. She teaches you a healthy lifestyle. Every few months you take measurements and pictures to see your progress. She is very responsive through text. She also practices what she preaches - she is inspiring!“
5AM - 11PM
750 Classon Ave, Brooklyn“He’s been really great and take an interest in you no matter what fitness level you’re at. I really like how he gives me tips and tricks to get the most out of every workout. I’ve been going for a little bit and am already seeing a big change in my body and adapting new daily habits.“
6:45AM - 2:45PM
170 S 1st St, Brooklyn“I took a we flow class on Friday at 5:30 PM. The class was pretty full. When you get in, you can hang your coat by the front and there are a lot of lockers as you walk in right across from the lockers, there is a refresh station with deodorant, lotion, dry shampoo, a plastic bag for wet clothing, mints, tissues, face wipes. There’s also a blow dryer. There is a water refill station right before you enter the studio. The studio is a rectangle so there’s one row in the back and one row in the front. I’ve taken a class before in the east village, but never in this studio. I don’t remember much except I love the music, which is why I go and it did not disappoint this time either. the class had the instructor announced positions, which is fine, but I do wish she could’ve demonstrated since I’m not an avid Yogi. You do about three or four different flows and then after you learn one flow, you have three minutes to do it on your own. that part I didn’t really enjoy because sometimes I would forget the sequence and just felt lost. I could’ve done without that part and just had More instruction.“

333 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn“Every class I've taken with different instructors was a winner!
I will be signing up for a whole year next chance I get!“
7AM - 10PM
232 Varet St, Brooklyn“Love Green Gym! They’ve got pretty much all the equipment one needs + amazing boxing facility and also a very neat outside area which is great to use in the summers. I work out with my trainer Arjang Jameh there who has been a fantastic teacher - not only have I learnt so much about fitness and exercises + corrective movement from him, but also had great fitness results under his tutelage!“

“I've been coming here for nearly three years now and it is one of the best gyms I've ever been to.
What really makes it is are the coaches. This isn't a typical gym where you walk in anonymously, use some machines, and walk out. This is a gym where you work with a coach, you get a personalized training program, and you get coaching/advice when you're working out (if you need/want it).
I've gotten to know a number of the coaches over the years and they're all good people who have the interest of their clients at heart.
The gym has a great selection of equipment, but not many machines. That is a good thing in my eyes. Working with free weights has always been my preferred workout. They do have a few machines to help with cardio (rower, ski erg, assault bike).
The gym has a great culture. The clients and the coaches are very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
If you're looking to get some help getting a workout routine going, get some accountability, and just get into fitness in general, this is a great place. I recommend it.“
