About Y7 Studio Williamsburg

Y7 Studio Williamsburg is a sweat-inducing, beat-pumping, and candlelit yoga haven. The studio utilizes state-of-the-art infrared technology to heat the room to a toasty 80-90 degrees, creating a detoxifying sweat that boosts blood circulation and flexibility. Classes are paced to the rhythm of diverse musical tracks, encouraging practitioners to turn their focus inward and explore their individual practice in the dark, mirror-free studio. The studio offers a variety of class formats, including the popular "We Flow" class, which features a sequence of three to four vinyasa flows, followed by a short rest, abdominal work, and a final savasana. Instructors provide clear guidance, though some students wish they would occasionally demonstrate the poses as well. Customers praise the studio's amenities, including ample lockers, a refreshment station, and showers. While some wish for more instrumental music during the vinyasa sequences, the overall experience is highly regarded, with one reviewer describing a particular instructor as "easily one of the best yoga teachers I've ever had." The studio's welcoming atmosphere and challenging yet accessible classes have earned it a loyal following among local yogis.

I took a we flow class on Friday at 5:30 PM. The class was pretty full. When you get in, you can hang your coat by the front and there are a lot of lockers as you walk in right across from the lockers, there is a refresh station with deodorant, lotion, dry shampoo, a plastic bag for wet clothing, mints, tissues, face wipes. There’s also a blow dryer. There is a water refill station right before you enter the studio. The studio is a rectangle so there’s one row in the back and one row in the front. I’ve taken a class before in the east village, but never in this studio. I don’t remember much except I love the music, which is why I go and it did not disappoint this...read full review

There's also a blow dryer. There is a water refill station right before you enter the studio. The studio is a rectangle so there's one row in the back and one row in the front. I've taken a class before in the east village, but never in this studio. I don't remember much except I love the music, which is why I go and it did not disappoint this time either. the class had the instructor announced positions, which is fine, but I do wish she could've demonstrated since I'm not an avid Yogi. You do about three or four different flows and then after you learn one flow, you have three minutes to do it on your own. that part I didn't really enjoy because sometimes I would forget the sequence and just felt lost. I could've done without that part and just had More instruction.

One of my favorite workout studios in the city. The classes are heated and difficult, but they have no mirrors and low light so you can take it at your own pace. They follow a pattern of 3 vinyasa flows, then a short rest, then some abs/squats, then finally savasana. I honestly wish sometimes that first rest was skipped bc it feels weird to relax and then do something even harder, but I understand why they do it.

I’ve tried a number of coaches and they’re all good, usually my issues relate to the music (I’m picky), and never the instruction/teaching.

They have showers and equipment for rent!

    Love this place :)
