“The team at LOWE-NEDDO FUNERAL HOME provided exceptional care during a very difficult time. Mr. LEE and Mr. MIKAEL guided us with genuine compassion, dignity ,and professionalism. They handled every detail perfectly, allowing our family to focus on honoring our loved one. We are incredibly grateful for their support and highly recommend their services”
“My father lived in Charlotte for 40years before retiring at the coast. In the 80’s he purchased burial plots for he and his wife. Last week, at age 89 he was placed to rest at Heritage. We used the chapel on site for a memorial service. My family and I were concerned that the service might come off stilted since the eulogy would be delivered by a pastor who did not know my father. We were pleasantly surprised that Pastor Ed Butler was recommended by Deana at Heritage. He was so intuitive and and able
to take the given information and deliver it as though he had known my dad for years. His eulogy and spiritual message was very personable.
The team of Deana, Kate, Robin, and Kat, plus all the faces behind the scenes, helped to bring together an overall wonderful end of life event. They were so professional, kind, and empathetic throughout the entire process.
Our family was so delighted to leave dad after the service with hearts of joy and comfort.
Thank you to all at Heritage!”
“At a difficult time in your life, it’s so comforting to know there are true professionals available to help you with your planning for unexpected events. Christina and the staff answered questions before I asked them and worked with my budget. No one tried to steer us in any particular direction where cost was concerned. Also a real blessing was to be able to use their pianist for the service. I appreciate the support during the planning as well as the follow up afterward.”
“We chose Robertson for their personal, eco-sensitive approach and access to aquamation services for my mother when she passed. They were attentive, sensitive, thoughtful, accommodating and made another hard thing easier for my heart, spirit and energy. Im full of gratitude for the team, aquamation and the natural preserve they nurture toward a much more earth friendly and connected approach to end of life.”
“Kenny Wortman, Manager, and everyone at Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail (Jackie, Barbara, Cat, and Ashley) who assisted us with the funeral of our friend, Betty Merritt of Mint Hill, did an excellent job. We could not have asked for a more caring and a more cheerful team than these folks. They truly relieved us of several tasks we had expected to have to do ourselves (ordering and placing the flowers, providing cool refreshment for those attending Betty's graveside service on a very hot day, pushing a friend to the grave who was in a wheelchair, etc.). We very much appreciate the care we were afforded, and we highly recommend their services.”
“Heritage Funeral and Cremation in Ballantyne has helped our family through grieving the passing of several family members. The degree of professionalism and dedication shown to us has been superb. They are knowledgeable and extremely detailed oriented while also making you feel like they are a part of your family. After you meet with them to make decisions you can leave knowing things will be exactly as you wanted. Robin Barron is known for going the extra miles to get you through the process and then giving you information to help with settling the estate.”
“Thank you all so much for taking care of my sweet mom. Your grace and kindness meant so much.”
“It was an awesome experience working with Alexander Funeral Home. When you're grieving its hard to keep up with all the small details. My family worked directly with Ms. Coleman for my uncle's service. My aunt, myself, Ms. Coleman and the Alexander team worked hard to make his service a beautiful experience. They worked tirelessly to get an ASL interpreter for my cousin, allowed us to live stream the service for another cousin who was unable to be present and had a special obituary reading for my uncle and our family. Ms. Coleman was prompt and available. I wanted to personally shave my uncle and they were able to accommodate my request. They cared for me and my father in that moment and it meant a great deal to us. Every employee that we encountered from front desk, our family drivers, the embalmers and staff that dressed my uncle, the funeral director all acted as if my family was THEIR family. I know my uncle would have loved the service we put on for him. Thank you Alexander and their team for doing the heavy work of help families through their grief.”
“They were respectful the entire time, they also cared about how I was doing with the death of my brother. They were respectful when I picked up John's ashes.”
“I have never had to plan a celebration of life before and McEwen was very helpful during the process. The price was very affordable and the room was lovely. They provided assistance as far as helping guide people to the right location once they arrived which I really appreciated. They also provided the easel so that we could display our friend's picture and we were able to hook up a laptop to their TV screen so we could have a slideshow going the entire time. The staff was very kind and compassionate and were more than willing to help with anything we needed. The facility at Sharon Memorial Park is new and the grounds were lovely. While I wouldn't wish having to plan a celebration of life or a memorial service on anyone, I would definitely recommend McEwen for those needs.”
“Angela is truly a gem. Over the past few years, she has assisted our family with burial arrangements for our loved ones. She is consistently patient, professional, and respectful. Angela’s warm personality and her availability to answer any questions have been invaluable to us. We are deeply grateful to have someone so trustworthy to guide us through these difficult times.”
“A very respectful and cost-conscious approach for taking care of your loved ones after passing.”
“Katie was a great help to me in deciding what I want for my funeral. She was very informative and caring so much to meet my needs. My family has used Wilson’s for many years and found them to be very helpful.”
“When my grandmother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, our family was thrust into one of the most heartbreaking nights of our lives. I will never forget standing beside her as she took her final breath, surrounded by our immediate family, and then realizing we had no idea what to do next. It was after midnight, and while the hospital cared for my grandmother with great compassion, they couldn’t guide us through the next steps.

That’s when we called Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation. Within minutes, Steve—the owner—was personally on the phone with us. His voice was calm, kind, compassionate, and incredibly reassuring. He patiently walked us through exactly what needed to happen, and from that moment until the very last guest left the funeral home after the service, Steve treated us like family.

My grandmother hadn’t made many arrangements beforehand, but Steve carried us through every decision with wisdom, honesty, and genuine care. At no point did we ever feel pressured to purchase services we didn’t need. At no point did we feel misled. At no point did we feel alone. His decades of experience brought peace and confidence during one of the darkest seasons our family has ever faced.

We expected perhaps 20 to 40 people to attend the service because everything came together so quickly. Steve told us he could accommodate up to 100 people. In the end, well over 100 people—around 120 to 130—came to celebrate my grandmother’s life. Somehow, Steve and his team made it all work seamlessly.

I’ll never forget standing behind Steve’s podium, preaching my grandmother’s funeral, looking out over a room full of people who loved her deeply. It was one of the most beautiful celebrations of life any of us had ever experienced, and it simply would not have been possible without Steve and his incredible team.

When someone you love dies, there are countless important decisions and necessary steps that must be taken immediately. You need someone who not only knows what to do but genuinely cares about you while doing it. Steve just gets it.

On behalf of my entire family, thank you for your compassion, professionalism, integrity, and love. We pray we won’t need your services again anytime soon, but when that day eventually comes, there is no one else we will call. Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation has become our family’s trusted partner during life’s hardest moments, and I recommend them without reservation.”
