Have not used them for larger repairs or replacements, but they will be my first call when I do.“
“Overnight, during this extended heat wave, our A/C stopped working. We have used Hank Vasill in the past (since he installed the unit for the previous owner) and always have been treated fairly and promptly. Today, I called at 7 in the morning and he was at our house before 10 to fix the unit. That is what I call great service! He is a smaller shop, so he cannot necessarily get to you immediately if you want a new central air install, but his quality of work and monetary value for the service is totally worth the wait. It took him a few weeks to get started after we decided we wanted to work with him, but again, totally worth it to be patient. He communicated the delay and was upfront about what was possible and not possible in our 100+ year old, 2-story city home. He worked to find a solution that would do the job for us, and it has!Additionally, If something is not working properly or there is an emergency for anything heating/cooling related, he will be there to take care of you as soon as possible! He has worked on my parents' and my grandparents' homes multiple times when things go wrong, and it is common for me to hear that he was working til late evening or on weekends on an emergent issue for a customer.“
“We needed a new dang a/c in the burning miserable heat of summer. Other companies gave us the run around if they even got back to us at all. Airpro came out immediately, were incredibly nice and friendly to deal with. They had an entire new a/c and coil installed in no time. Back to happy life. Other companies said they couldn’t get to us or get the unit we needed. Airpro was really great to work with. “Writing a thorough review because it is what helped me to pick this company, and maybe it will help reassure others they are making the best choice.Earlier this year, my parents' AC started malfunctioning in the house I grew up in. With much else on their plates, I decided this was one thing I could help them with. With a decidedly subpar experience with a company sent out by their home warranty, I did some research and made a short list of local companies that seemed to have the best reviews. Smart House was on that list, and due to their clear pricing for a diagnostic evaluation earned our initial business.Matt came out to the house and did a thorough workup, explaining in detail that our system was low on a type of coolant that was expensive because it was no longer made, and that even refilling it wouldn't guarantee that it wouldn't leak out or that our aging system wouldn't go bad from something else shortly after. He took time to answer many questions in a way that was clear and understandable. Without any pressure whatsoever, he went ahead and took measurements for a potential replacement just to make sure things could proceed as quickly as possible when we decided what we wanted to do. He further answered questions about what to expect with newer units and what it would entail to replace it.My parents then independently got a couple more quotes on their way to deciding on an AC/Furnace replacement. By all accounts, Matt was the most professional of the specialists they encountered and SmartHouse and their bid were the most clear as well as best value.Even as we proceeded, the office staff was top-notch. Jane was able to answer questions as well as help navigate that while things started under my name, it was for my parents' house and to get their sign-off as well.They were able to fit us in for the replacement faster than expected. Matt and Luke replaced the furnace and AC in a full-day job. Even things we had been worried about were already well thought out and addressed- for instance, the furnace needing a new in/out vent that we didn't previously have which they placed in a discreet area with an appropriate cover.All this was done in mid August, just in time for our brutal heatwave, and I can say confidently the new system tackled it with ease.From beginning to end, SmartHouse was an extremely professional and friendly company to work with. Every step of the way things were explained with ease and never once did they make us feel pressured.
