“I first came to Best Friends about 6 months ago to put my dog Xenio down. Which they were nothing but accommodating, kind and very compassionate about what they do. Then a couple weeks ago I brought one of my other dogs Klein in for a second opinion on what has been making him sick since September. They were very determined to help figure out what was wrong. We didn't get the chance to complete his workup before he passed. So when they found out they were very sympathetic for what I had gone through once again. I couldn't thank them enough for being there through both my rainbow dogs.“

Dr. Travis, Dr. Cheri, Kiki, Aimee, Shelby, Nick and all the others whose names currently escape us, thank you so much for the love and respect you've consistently shown our family in caring for our smallest living members Jesus, Chloe and Cecil, as well as the family that we've lost, Jaegar, Duncan and Dexter. Jesus is our spiciest chihuahua rescue, who absolutely loves going to the vet to see his favorite people. He howls out the car window until we arrive, walks through the door with a big grin and googley eyes, wagging his tail and batting his greying eyelashes, barely able to stop wiggling long enough to capture an accurate weight on the scale. Unfortunately, his switch flips instantly upon being touched or examined, and he turns into a tiny terrifying monster. But not for long. As soon as he's off the exam table and back on the floor, he's happy again and yes he will take the treats being offered and he thanks you very kindly. Thank you for caring for our pack.“

Something I really also value, though, is how willing and quick Kenwood vets are to be part of a more integrated approach to a problem involving specialists or urgent care external to the clinic. They are always interested in and invested in the best outcome for our pets and that is deeply appreciated. On this occasion, they gently guided our Greyhound mix through x-rays for an upcoming visit to a rehab clinic and affirmed the preliminary injury diagnosis given by an Urgent Care vet. “Dr Adams and her staff are some of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. My wife and I called the office hoping for a same-day appointment due to our dog starting to experience persistent vomiting spells. Not only did they call us back almost immediately, but they were able to see her within two hours of us calling. Dr Adams is extremely thorough and has excellent bedside manner. On top of that, the service she provided was significantly better than what we had received a day earlier at an urgent care. Additionally, the price of my dog’s intake appointment, medications, and follow-up appointment was cheaper than a basic exam at our previous vet. Unfortunately our sweet baby ended up passing away due to complications from her illness (myasthenia gravis, mega esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, and probably cancer). When Dr Adams saw the death paperwork from the emergency vet we had taken our dog to, she called almost immediately to express her condolences. I am confident in saying that if my wife and I ever get another dog, we are going to bring them to Southdale Pet Hospital.“

Over the years, I’ve built incredible trust with the front desk staff, the assistants, and the doctors. They’ve treated our pets like family and they’ve treated us like family too. We particularly have a great bond with Bobbie and Dr. Soule.
We feel like the staff has always shown up with compassion, professionalism, and absolute genuine care. They LOVE our dog Marzipan, everyone genuilnly greats her and hopes she's doing well. Even new empoleeyes we meet fall in love with her and it's very hearwarming.

“Had a grooming appointment this past Thursday and experienced car trouble. I live quite close— but not close enough to walk there in time for the appointment for which I was running late. She came and picked my little buddy up.

The grooming services were 10/10 as usual— but the willingness to help when I needed it was even more appreciated.

“I recently boarded my aging dog while on vacation. She was near end of life and needed additional care. The facility brought Ruby to Pet Crossing concerned she needed to be put down. Pet Crossing's doctor called me immediately, provided me her cell number, and worked with me for options to care for Ruby. Ultimately, Pet crossing took care of her all day and sent me numerous photos and videos showing she was doing very well until a friend could pick her up. They helped manage her pain and developed a plan for my friend so I could be with her at the end when I returned. Pet Crossing was extremely compassionate, went above and beyond with their communication, and I felt were reasonable with their fees. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the staff at Pet Crossing and would not hesitate bringing my other dog there in the future and would recommend Pet Crossing to others based upon this experience.“

“Probably one of my favorite vet clinics I've ever had create it reminds me of the vet clinic on Queen Anne in Seattle that I was a customer at for decades and then I also did it in my externship for my veterinary technician degree there.
