“I recently had a rather large project done by Biota: assess and repair-where-needed a very large boulder retaining wall under the deck of my 30 year-old home. Initially I met with 3 Biota employees: Joe Hafner, who oversaw the project and kept me informed with daily email updates; Tim Dyer, a construction supervisor; and Greg Kaeuper, a landscape architect. They made recommendations for the repair, gave me a written estimate and description of the proposed project, and were willing to come back to my house a second time for some additional questions I had.
These days everyone thinks they can be an expert on landscaping—from college kids picking up some summer cash, to the old-time yard maintenance people who believe that mowing lawns and cutting back hostas allow them to call themselves “landscapers”.
Biota is the real thing—all around expertise on both the construction side (my boulder retaining wall as well as the beautiful flight of concrete stairs they built into a steep bank in my neighbor’s yard) and the horticultural side—viewing your existing landscaping with an educated and aesthetic eye. I think of them as a perfect blend of form and function.
I couldn’t be happier and my repaired retaining wall looks fabulous!”
