I’ve been using The Grounds Crew for lawn mowing and have been impressed so far. Their pricing has been fair, scheduling has been easy through their online portal, and their office communication has been excellent.

What stood out most recently was how Jay handled a service concern. I brought up a few specific issues and he responded professionally, took responsibility, updated the notes on my account, and made sure the crew had clear instructions going forward. That kind of follow-through matters a lot to me.

The mowing itself has looked good, they show up reliably, and the team has been professional. I appreciate a company that is responsive, fair, and willing to correct things when needed.

“We had a wonderful experience working with Refuge Design and Landscape on our backyard. We had recently moved into our first home and the backyard was covered in playground turf and overgrown with weeds. We were overwhelmed and in dire need of help. Matt helped develop a vision to make the yard not just usable, but a place we really love being. The crew worked magic and in just a couple of days, they had put down grass seed for a turf area, put in a beautiful shade perennial garden under and around our giant maple tree, and created a sweet little area for seating. Highly recommend working with them, especially if you’re lost and need guidance you can trust.“

I was having issues with ice dams and water penetration with the dormers for the last few years. I called him up when I had a leak from the latest rain that we got. It was determined that the flashing along the dormers was installed incorrectly. He was willing to have the crew come out and reinstall the correct step flashing.

The fact that he was willing to help make it right and stand behind his work nearly 4 years later speaks volume. He didn’t complain about it, he didn’t try to argue with me or downplay the issue. “I must have reached out to 8+ landscaping companies, and while I could get some of them to come out to take measurements, few of them followed up with estimates and when they did, some of them quoted me THOUSANDS of dollars. Brian was able to offer us straightforward and practical solutions to fix the negative grading on the back and side of the house, fix an existing window well and install another window well. He was also able to work with our tight budget and even helped us to lift our AC Unit that was being impacted by the negative grading. He was so knowledgeable and transparent about what his recommendations were and why.
