“I must have reached out to 8+ landscaping companies, and while I could get some of them to come out to take measurements, few of them followed up with estimates and when they did, some of them quoted me THOUSANDS of dollars. Brian was able to offer us straightforward and practical solutions to fix the negative grading on the back and side of the house, fix an existing window well and install another window well. He was also able to work with our tight budget and even helped us to lift our AC Unit that was being impacted by the negative grading. He was so knowledgeable and transparent about what his recommendations were and why.
We did not need anything overly complicated so we were so glad we were finally able to connect with Brian. He even came in under-budget (unheard of in my experience in working with contractors). “I have pre-paid for my 5 applications in advance and after the first application two weeks ago I am noticing both Dandilions and Crabgrass growing. I emailed about this and got no response. 2 days after the email with no response I called and explained to the person on the phone that I have dandilions and crabgrass growing. She stated that I am due for another appoitment in the next few weeks. I asked her so I should just leave the weeds as they are and she said yes because the next application will kill them. I find this very terrible customer service. I paid not to have weeds growing my yard and she says just leave them. I guess sending someone back out to correct their mistake is not a priority.***Update*** They called me back and apologized for the very general timeframe of when they will be back out. They stated they will be back out in the next two weeks and to let them know if the weeds continue“

“Dean and his crew were great to work with. In my experience, many contractors send their A-team to win the project, and then the crew you get is hit or miss. Not with Dean’s crew. The same quality I saw in the design stage showed up with the people who did the work. When something in the plan didn’t make sense in real life, they proactively adjusted and used great judgment. Truly a design-build team. Very happy with both the quality of the work and the people.“

“We had an amazing experience working with Biota! They are such a thoughtful and conscientious company. The work is high quality, the designs are beautiful yet pragmatic, and they are ecologically conscious. You can tell they really care about the work they put out and how it will function and wear in the real world.

Biota did some landscape work in our front yard and installed a patio and Soake pool in our backyard. It was quite the project but Elizabeth was so thorough and her designs turned out beautifully. She was incredibly involved in the whole process. She was able to inherently understand our tastes and know what we wanted. And she was frequently on site during the project and was able to troubleshoot potential issues in real time.

Tim and Elizabeth were so great in dealing with the city and securing all our necessary permits. And dealing with all the arrangements with Soake. He and Henry were great at keeping us on schedule and pivoting during the heavy rains this summer.

We are so thankful Henry was our site supervisor. He and the rest of the team were so professional and impressive. He sent an email every night summarizing the work they did that day and their plans for the next. They worked efficiently and cleaned up at the end of every day.

We had recently moved into our first home and the backyard was covered in playground turf and overgrown with weeds. We were overwhelmed and in dire need of help. Matt helped develop a vision to make the yard not just usable, but a place we really love being. The crew worked magic and in just a couple of days, they had put down grass seed for a turf area, put in a beautiful shade perennial garden under and around our giant maple tree, and created a sweet little area for seating. “Jaime Romero and his very experienced crew did a fantastic job trimming four of my large Lindens and Maples, and removing a large branch from an Austrian Pine that was leaning on the utility lines.

They arrived on time with a lot of top quality tools and accessories. I was impressed at how the three of them worked so well together. All precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the crew and to prevent any damage to my property. I was consulted as needed through the whole process. Jaime made sure that the trees had a good balance when they were finished being trimmed. They cleaned up everything so I had nothing to do when they finished.

The final bill was very reasonable and fair. I highly recommend them and am very happy that I chose them“

“Everything went smoothly and fast. They responded to my request right away and within a week we got the new sods. Our front yard was destroyed by those grubs and then the weeds took over. The Sod Smith team tilled the ground, got rid of all the weeds, added the grub controller and fertilizer, then installed the new sods.

The crew members cleaned up the dirt and debris nicely and our yard is looking great now.“
