“Michigan Testing & Air Balancing is the kind of third-party testing partner you hope to find and then keep on speed dial. They operate like a true tab/commissioning support team—methodical in the field, clear in their communication, and fast with documentation.

On the commercial side, they were excellent at airflow verification and diagnostics across multiple systems (rtus, ahus, vav boxes, exhaust, and make-up air). They didn’t just “take readings”—they walked through fan curves and expected vs. delivered cfm, verified static pressure conditions at the time of test, and helped identify the real root causes when numbers were off (duct restrictions, diffuser/boot issues, damper positions, balancing device settings, and control sequence impacts). Their pressure work was equally solid—differential pressure checks, room-to-corridor relationships, and practical guidance for getting a building to behave the way the design intent and code requirements expect.

What surprised me (in a good way) was how strong they are on residential systems too.
