“Had a appointment here today (1/19/26) and the staff and especially the lady that greeted me had a smile and a very great personality. The Optometrist was kind and forth coming and got on me after telling him my A1C was high after he found some things going on with my eyes he was very concerned and even lectured me gave me some alternatives that which I didn't want to hear and because I neglected my eyes I needed to hear what he had to say, and with a little more of a concern he told what to do and gave me a year to turn it around for the better of my eye health. Overall staff was great everyone had smiles on their face and they took care of me. Got me some glasses(finally) with the help of the Assistant..can't wait to finally be able to see again. THANK YOU SVS!!!“

“I visited the Eastpointe office on 8 mile, Sat. 1/4/25. I was greeted well. Everyone was nice & professional. Annette waited on me to choose my eyeglasses. She was Very helpful & nice. She also gave me great advice regarding my choices & options. I will definitely return in the future. I also will refer family & friends to their location. I will give another update when I return to pick up my glasses.

Update on 1/28/25- I took in new Cartier glasses that I purchased elsewhere. I also purchased a second pair from Black & White Look Optical. I was told that my Cartiers would take 3 weeks to be ready & the 2nd pair 7-10 days. After calling several times to get updates, the Cartiers were ready in 26 days (almost 3 weeks) & the 2nd pair were ready in exactly 3 weeks. Both pairs turned out great & I’m overall satisfied with them. But the wait time for completion is Crazy!
With all that being said, PACK YOUR PATIENCE while waiting for your glasses to be ready!“

“I called today to make an appointment for an eye exam. The first woman I spoke to I believe her name was Maryann? Very rude. Upon answering I told her I “possibly” wanted to make an appointment, really just used that word because it’s so hard to get into places anymore, and she sounded confused then asked what I wanted? So do you wanna make an appointment or not because you said possibly?” Not sure why I was given an attitude because obviously I want to make an appointment for an eye exam I wouldn’t have called if not.. “As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by Dr Soviar and his staff. All our paperwork was ready to go awaiting our signatures. Dr Soviar did a very throughly job on examimn my eyes and stays in contact with Dr Vassier at Frasier eye Clininc who is watching my cataracts and Macular degeneration that Dr Soviar noticed in my right eye. His staff helped me pick out frames and in no time at all we were finished“

“This is the third year I have visited LaCroix Eye Center for an eye exam. Dr Yestrepsky did a thorough examination with high tech equipment for my eye health and prescription. I have been pleasantly pleased with the service each passing year.

This summer, I took my prescription to Costco to purchase my glasses. This proved to be a mistake. I could not see out of the new glasses and had headaches when I tried to wear them. The Progressive Lens was not right even with multiple trips back to Costco.

Finally, back to LaCroix Eye Center, Dr Ann LaCroix did a quick eye examination to see if the prescription was correct, for a second opinion. It was. Joy spent quality time adjusting my glasses to see if it would help. I was impressed that they both slipped me in to help me, even without an appointment.

I ended up returning the glasses to Costco and returning to LaCroix Eye center to purchases the glasses I should have from the start. Rebecca took care of me and took the time to measure for proper fit and the Progressive line correctly. She listened to my predicament and got me the help I needed. She didn't say a word when I mistakenly showed up at the wrong appointment time. She took care of me anyway.

La Croix Eye Center has proven to me to be an outstanding and remarkable office. I was a difficult patient with a tricky issue; every staff member I encountered was more than willing to try to help solve my dilemma. I would welcome this kind of refreshing environment at some of my other doctor's offices.
