“I purchased a home in Holt, MI and am new to the area. Our realtor provided us with a list of area businesses for different services one of them being HVAC. The list was generated by her and some of her associates from positive experiences from their clients.Our furnace stopped working, of course right at closing time for the day. Austin was at the top of my HVAC list. I called the office and spoke with Fran. She could not have been more pleasant, concerned and helpful. She was unable to get a technician to my house until early the next day. She put me on the schedule and told me if I found someone else that could fix it tonight just leave her a message and she would cancel the Tech.I did find another company that came to the house that night. After 90 minutes and a $200 charge the technician from the other company left my house without getting my furnace running. He said I needed a new control board or a new furnace and a sales team member would call me the next day and discuss my options.The first thing the next morning I received a phone call from Fran with Austin HVAC. She was checking to see if we still need her technician to come out. What great and personal customer service. I told her what happened and since I was told I may need a new furnace I wanted Austin HVAC to come out and also give me a quote. Fran said that she would have Steve Austin come out and take a look. He was at the house within an hour.While we were waiting for Steve to arrive I received a call from the other HVAC company. They said that they had the control board I needed replaced and said it would be $1000 for the part plus labor. They also told me a new furnace would be about $10,000Steve Austin looked at my furnace and said he did not think there was anything wrong with my control board but he had a new one at his shop that he could install if needed. The cost $450 not $1000. Steve sent one of his technicians over to the house about an hour later. The technician found that there was nothing wrong with the control board and that there were only a couple of minor maintenance issues that needed addressing. The furnace was soon up and running for a total cost of $150. Steve Austin called me twice during the process to update me on the status of the repair.From my first call to the completion of the job everyone we dealt with at Austin HVAC was kind, concerned and customer focused. The is a great example of a honest family run local business that cares about it customers not just how much money they can make.“
