The owner, Stephen, was the only roofer I spoke with who spoke to me as a person, answering any questions and concerns I had before, during and after the process (involving more than aesthetics of course). I'm upset I have to say this in this day and age, but as a female he also didn't talk to me as though I'd only care about aesthetics or assume/inquire about a husband before/during discussions. People are people- gender aside and I wanted to understand the process and quality of the shingles I was paying for as much anyone with a wallet. Thank you Stephen! “I recently worked with Michael, the owner, to start the first of many projects together. I was seeking a company that could do all phases, starting with replacing 9ft windows. Michael came out to the home to assess the project. He was very honest about what they could and could not do. His pricing was very affordable. On the second visit, Michael brought the manufacturer to my home to assess the custom windows I would need. Both gentlemen were very down to earth and gave me customer assurance in the quality of the work and assured me that they could meet my timeframe for installation. On the last visit, Michael brought the carpenter, Ben who would be doing the work. Ben was detailed in explaining the process and how long it would take. The day of the installation, Ben worked diligently to complete the job within the timeframe promised and because he's a carpenter, he was able to cut and install the wooden enclosed sills around each window that absolutely looks beautiful and compliments my home. “Our project was somewhat unconventional. We were looking to enclose our patio so that it was screened in. The trick was it would have to be a free-standing structure off of our deck. Very few companies we talked to had any interest in tackling this. From the very beginning, Horizons Unlimited assured us they could do it and do it well. Once the project was confirmed and their project team came out, they actually suggested a modification to our original idea based on their experience and expertise and, because their modification added approx. 15-20 sq. feet of usable space, we agreed.From the very first day of construction, their team was polite, professional, and meticulous. They were here every day and, on the one Friday they had to miss because of weather, they came out and worked all day Saturday to make up for the lost day.We would most definitely recommend Horizons Unlimited for your home improvement project.“

“Recently had LKC install a new roof on my townhouse in the Summit Chase neighborhood of Piney Orchard. Also had them completely rebuild the deck as many of the joists were rotting and two actually collapsed! They did an outstanding job on both projects, all work was performed exactly per the contract. They used the best GAF HD energy star shingles and sent pictures of the roofing work which was a nice plus. They also replaced all gutters and downspouts since the old ones on many houses were pulling away from the roof as they were not installed properly. I had to pay someone to bang in the gutter spikes every few years. New gutters look awesome! LKC's attention to detail is top notch. Craig kept in constant communication on status of projects. Crew also did a great job cleaning up. I highly recommend LKC for your roof or deck project.“
