“Keith and Mike came to the house to replace two twenty three year old skylights in our sunroom. They arrived on time, checked in with us for any questions we may have, and started the job promptly. They replaced both skylights, replaced all shingles which needed to be removed, sealed the edges, then cleaned the glass. They also walked the roof as a quick inspection for any other issues I may not have noticed. They took the time to show us and explain where the seals of the old skylights were starting to fail. Enjoyed talking to both men as they were both cordial and liked discussing their jobs and roofing in general. “I had to have what I thought was only some repair work done to my nearly 100 year old slate shingle roof. But, unfortunately, I was really wrong. I needed my whole roof replaced.The estimator from Roland Slate, Denis, got onto the roof, and came back down with some horrifying pictures for me. I couldn't believe what I was looking out. But the pictures were real and of a portion of the roof that wasn't visible from the ground.In that area, the roof was conpletely exposed to the sun for nearly 100 years. And some of the shingles had turned white, with a creamsicle orange toward the center!Denis and I discussed what would be best for me. He told me that slate was going to be very expensive. So he prepared two estimates for me of material that looked like slate.And the material I chose looks like slate, that is supposed to last at least 50 years.Roland Slate is literally the only place to go to deal with slate in the Baltimore. They take great care to make you comfortable with what needs to be done. And everyone I have dealt with from there has been incredibly nice and understanding.Now, I have to have the stucco on my house completely removed and have a lot of brickwork done in there. I am going to have fake stucco, which I understand is as good or better than the real stucco. Some of the brick has to be replaced. So, i know that this is going to be expensive.But, I've already talked to Roland about giving me estimates. I wouldn't go to anyone else.“

“We had a roof leak/damage from a recent hurricane that went through. We reached out to ReBuild to get an estimate, as they are local, family owned, and on our insurance company's approved list of contractors.We are *so happy* we did! ReBuild was excellent to work with, start to finish. Everyone we worked with was patient, kind, timely and knowledgeable. Not only did they know exactly how to work with the insurance company, but they knew all of Columbia's/the HOA's rules and regs; they had multiple recommendations based on our home and roof and gutter issues. They were even willing to drop off sample roof shingles for us when we were home sick.The work itself was done quickly and done extremely well. When they found some damage underneath the shingles, ReBuild took the initiative and updated our insurance company so we didn't have to get back involved. ReBuild just took care of it.We had interior damage from the roof leak, and ReBuild took care of that as well. We didn't have to call another contractor, talk to insurance or anything. Drywall and paint folks magically appeared at the right time and did a wonderful job.The work site (our yard) was left in clean condition - no random materials, empty caulk tubes or nails left about (which is a relief when you have kids that like to walk outside barefoot.) ReBuild even came out to double check the work at the end of the project to make sure the shingles, caulk, etc. looked good.We would not hesitate to recommend ReBuild for any roofing, gutter or remodeling needs.“

This past week, we noticed a water stain in an upstairs closet and gave Mike a call, left a message and received a call within 1 hour.The next day a technician was sent out to do an inspection. “I strongly recommend Alexander Townsley for your home improvement projects, especially regarding your roof or gutters. He is knowledgeable, responsive, honest, and reasonably priced.My husband and I recently (October 2023) hired Mr. Townsley to install new gutter guards on our house.When he came to offer a quote, Mr. Townsley was friendly, knowledgeable and able to provide a quote onsite. We found the price for the gutter guards to be very reasonable.When calling him to accept the quote and schedule the work, I needed to leave a voicemail, and it was returned promptly. Mr. Townsley is very responsive and cordial in his communications and answered any questions we had.On the day of the install, he arrived as scheduled with a crewmember, and they got to work right away. They needed to remove the old gutter guards and clean out the gutters before install, and cleaned everything up afterwards - the only evidence they were ever here is our brand-new gutter guards!Mr. Townsley also took a look at our roof and chimney during the gutter work and pointed out some issues that we may want to address. “Recently had LKC install a new roof on my townhouse in the Summit Chase neighborhood of Piney Orchard. Also had them completely rebuild the deck as many of the joists were rotting and two actually collapsed! They did an outstanding job on both projects, all work was performed exactly per the contract. They used the best GAF HD energy star shingles and sent pictures of the roofing work which was a nice plus. They also replaced all gutters and downspouts since the old ones on many houses were pulling away from the roof as they were not installed properly. I had to pay someone to bang in the gutter spikes every few years. New gutters look awesome! LKC's attention to detail is top notch. Craig kept in constant communication on status of projects.
