My son had 2 roofs done with Wells Home Improvement so when we found damage to our roof we asked them to come inspect it. Matt came and gave us a thorough inspection and explained everything he found and went over in great detail what needed to be done. We scheduled the roof to be replaced and we could not be happier with the results. Matt listened to our concerns and was very helpful with the insurance. Anytime we had a question he was always available to answer. The workers were very professional and they cleaned everything up behind them. We would definitely recommend Wells to anyone who needs roofing and gutters replaced. It’s a pleasure to find a reputable company in this day and age.

Our experience began dramatically when a 16-year-old driver crashed straight through our brick garage one night. Within minutes our quiet neighborhood looked like a movie scene—police cars, an ambulance, fire trucks, even a helicopter overhead. What followed was a four-month journey (August 26–December 26) involving insurance adjusters, building inspectors, and what ultimately became a partial rebuild of the garage.
Toepfer handled everything beautifully. They coordinated masons, electricians, carpenters and other specialists, communicated constantly through detailed emails and texts, and worked seamlessly with both the insurance company and the local permitting process so work could move forward quickly.
One detail meant a lot to me personally: I’m a bit of a collector, and my 2010 Miata is extremely special to me. The crew immediately understood that and treated the car and surrounding space with real care and respect.
My wife owns a real estate brokerage and works with contractors regularly. She kept saying she has rarely been as impressed with a construction company as she was with Toepfer.
Most important, the people were simply wonderful—kind, professional, punctual (often early), and always respectful. As a same-sex couple, my wife and I also appreciated how comfortable and welcoming everyone was.
Toepfer clearly excels at helping homeowners recover from disasters like ours, but it’s obvious they can handle just about any construction project. They are a long-standing local family business and true professionals.
By the end of the project everything looked fantastic—and as strange as it sounds, we almost missed having the crew around every day.

We worked with this company to get some repair work done due to a bad plumbing leak in our home. We are very pleased with the work and the communication was very good with the contractor. The work was finished in the quoted amount of time and for the amount quoted. When changes were needed it was effectively communicated. We felt well taken care of.
Preface: My wife and I did not know about or have any experience or relationship with Cris LLC before doing business with him. We found him by asking a neighbor for a recommendation. It’s the best experience we’ve had with a contractor. Cris H has done three projects for us and each has been done quickly and expertly, with great care for our home and responsiveness to our preferences. In addition, the cost was reasonable and a very good value. The first project was building a storage closet in our master bath, which had none at all except for the vanities. We had asked the builder, NV, to do that, utilizing the space behind a blank wall between the vanities, and they said it wasn't feasible. Cris did it in two days, including tile for the floor, shelves, paint, and a door. A major improvement, both aesthetically and functionally. The second was a smaller project to move a door at the bottom of the basement stairs from one wall to another, making it much easier to carry and move items straight out instead of after a tight right turn. This is not as easy as it sounds - I had to abandon my own attempt. Construction done in a day; replacement of plasterboard, spackling and painting done the next. All with such quality you can't tell it wasn't always that way. And again a very affordable price. The third project was a major renovation of the master bathroom. Removing the existing vanities and two heavy cumbersome mirrors. Repairing the walls, installing two expensive Kohler vanities after tiling the area underneath them, connecting the plumbing to the new sinks and counter tops, installing two Kohler mirrors, and painting the entire large bathroom, which has ten foot ceilings and many tricky angles. Cris LLC did, as usual, an outstanding job. The room now looks like it could be in Architectural Digest or similar magazine. I should mention that the care Cris took to protect our home was exemplary. A 50 ft stretch of engineered wood floor was covered with paper and tape, the bedroom rug wifh plastic sheeting, a powerful vacumn used to minimize dust. It was occasionally noisy, of course, but done quickly with minimum inconvenience, and adjustments were made on the fly when we had preferences re placement. I would recommend Cris LLC to anyone wanting a home improvement project done with the highest quality at a very fair price. I only hope Cris will still be available for our next one.

I had an amazing experience at Sensational Styles Salon. Makayla did an excellent job. She styled my hair in Goddess braids, which I love so much!. The customer service received here was excellent. Took my son to this shop on 5/15 after calling other barbers and having a bad experience with another. I'm not as familiar with what to ask for but the barber was very patient in ensuring we get the style my son and I were comfortable getting. He took his time on the cut and it came out real nice. My son was definitely feeling the cut. The barber was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I truly appreciate the address, hours were accurate on Yelp and that someone answered the phone. Definitely plan on returning.
I went to this barbershop on the fly. I was coming from the new Carolina Kitchen off of Central Avenue and was looking for a barber nearby. As I researched barbers nearby, I came across Freeman’s. I called and inquired about their services and was on my way there. Once I arrived, I was welcomed by Dave who gave me a nice temp fade cut on my sides. I was very pleased with my cut and will be back soon. It’s very affordable. This maybe a dealbreaker to some, but they are a cash only establishment. Other than that, great place.

I selected the salons based on the ratings of other customers. As had been described, the salon presented a clean and friendly environment. The salon owner was my stylist, and I am very happy with the outcome. The color is lovely, the cut was well done, and the perm was also handled professionally. I did have to wait a good while to receive service, but the quality of the service made it worthwhile. I would recommend the salon to others without reservation:)

I got my hair done in Smedium Knotless on May 11 and took them out on July 11. My hair lasted that long and I was able to do so many styles.
The salon is clean and each stylist has their own booth and they are not working on top of each other like most salons.
they make you feel comfortable the whole time and always ask “are you okay?” I did not take any pictures that time but I went right back on July 15 and got Medium Knotless and I took pictures. they did my Medium Knotless in TWO HOURS! They started at 3:50pm and ended at 5:52pm.

I have never used All-Pro, however, I have called on a number of occasions for assistance with making a decision about the need for a visit. They have helped me numerous times and I did not follow through with an appointment only because my home warranty contractors diagnosed the issue and I did not need to have another visit. I have referred All-Pro on a number of occasions and my colleagues have shared good experiences. Their customer service has always been great as well.

People often say in reviews that the service was great and they would use the company again. Well, I actually did. I was paired with 200 Degrees Hot Steam Cleaning through my home warranty company. Harrison came out and did a great job steam cleaning my carpets. He did such a good job that I asked him to come back a few days later to clean all the tile and wood floors in my place. Harrison returned and did a equally great job. For the second visit, I also got to meet Grace. They are two very nice people who know what they are doing and care about doing a good job. I am lucky I found them, and will definitely use 200 Degrees Hot Steam Cleaning again, for the third time!

We have worked with AJ for over 12 years through multiple major renovations and home projects. Among all of the other contractors that we have worked with (both good and bad), AJ is the only one that we have trusted for both major and related minor work. He embodies what we believe are the most important qualities of a contractor for large projects: he is detail-oriented, transparent about scope of work, timing, pricing, and process, and communicative throughout about good and bad developments. When there are issues or problems, he is great at listening, being patient, and taking a collaborative approach. He and his crew are respectful and mindful of how challenging and intrusive major work can be. We have never hesitated to recommend him to multiple other homeowners, including other friends, over the years.
For our first DC row home (built in 1907), AJ carried out a major floor repair (rotting subfloor and joists of a cantilevered portion of the dining room), a whole kitchen renovation that involved removing part of the original back wall and consolidating original house with 1st floor addition footprint, whole renovation of three and a half bathrooms, a whole basement renovation, and buildout of multiple new closets, both large (8 ft) and small(3 ft).
He also recently completed a whole DC freestanding house renovation (built in 1927) for us that involved removing a first floor load-bearing wall to create a open kitchen/dining space, tearing down an addition and building it again from ground up, and creating four new bedrooms, a laundry room, one new bathroom. He also renovated two and a half existing bathrooms and the basement as well.
