“I called for an appointment because I was without heat. Yosef returned my call and the appointment was set. Not only was this technician thorough and double checked everything, he was cognizant of my time and advised me if he was running a few minutes late. I want to make this clear, Home Comfort was the second company I called. The first company gave me an estimate of $469 to replace a $50.00 part they said was defective--there was nothing wrong with the part (which would have been under warranty anyway). Yosef found a burnt wire in the j-box which corrected the problem immediately. The other company never checked that! I rarely recommend anybody because I used to work in the home services field. I highly recommend his company! They are now my go to company for anything related to my HVAC system!“

“Efficient homes came to my house to put in insulation. They put hundreds of screws in my ceiling to support the weight of the insulation. This makes sense and they explained that they won't sand and paint the patches over the screws to hide them which was upsetting, however what ruined my experience is that AFTER they put a million screws in my ceilings they told me they couldn't put insulation in my attic because there is mold IN MY BASEMENT. So I now have a million screws in my ceiling that I have to do the work to cover AND no insulation. If mold in the basement was going to be a problem they should have checked BEFORE they put a million screws in my ceiling. I am beyond disappointed and pissed. They were there for two full days to accomplish very little and now I have to fix what they did do.

Edit to add: since posting this review the owner has reached out and is making efforts to make the situation right.

Edit one last time: the owner went above and beyond to make things right with me and I could not be happier. Everyone who I dealt with from the receptionist Laura who is incredibly responsive and super helpful to each and every one of the guys working on my house were respectful and they did a wonderful job. They have one more visit to do to tie up loose ends and ideally I was going to wait until they were all the way finished to post an edited update but I have no doubt in my mind they will live up to the standards they have already set for me. A few road bumps along the way but we got to the finish line and everything was made right. Thank you efficient homes!!“

“I reached out and contacted American Professional Chimney and Masonry after another company gave me an extremely over priced cost for replacement of an ignition system for my basement gas fireplace. The technician for the first company clicked on the starter several times and then magically came up with a replacement cost of $1800. When I reached out to Professional Chimney and Masonry, the technician came with equipment and completed a full diagnostic test. Using testing equipment, the technician also determined that I needed a new ignition system. However, the replacement cost was 1/3 of what the first company was planning to charge. The day my system was installed, the technician was timely and very professional. I would recommend American Professional Chimney and Masonry to anyone looking for honest professional service.“
