“I'm so glad to have found Emilie and Julie at Highland Optician in Newton Highland, MA, who have fitted my glasses superbly and much better than any other optician I had previously used.I need glasses which are very difficult for many opticians to get right, including refraction, prisms both vertical and horizontal and astigmatism. And I get glasses which include progressive and transition lenses. A large mall optician was never able to get them right, which forced me to return to its store to get the glasses adjusted to permit me to see clearly.I just purchased my second pair of glasses from Emilie and they are perfect, just like my previous pair. She also improved my previous prescription. And she was friendly and efficient, and answered all my questions. She is smart, knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate. She is a great dr but also, a great person. And multi-talented. Did you know about her musical ability? The woman can do it all. Love catching up with Mimi at the front desk (and Kathy before her.) She always has a smile waiting for patients as they enter the door and a friendly goodbye when you leave. Having the optics shop on site is added convenience, and there is always someone available to help with glasses. I have not only vision issues, but eye health ones as well, and Dr. Elgas treats it all and refers me out if needed. “First, I love Dr. Mercuri! Next I love Lisa! I had learned that I could have Dr. Mercuri fill out a MA RMV form with prescription that I could bring with me to the RMV for my license renewal. From beginning to end of the process of getting the form to Dr. Mercuri, following up when it got held up in the mail, having Dr. Mercuri fill out another form, calling me when she saw that I had not picked up the second form, which I had not picked up as I had said I would. “My son had been trying to get fitted for contacts for a few years but wasn’t able to get them in on his own. Dr. Randy Goldman was patient and calm during the contact fitting and after about 45 minutes my son was able to complete the required process and is now able to wear contacts. This was above and beyond a regular appointment. Dr. Goldman could have easily sent my son off to the class with an assistant to learn the process. But he knew my son had not been successful before taking this class and also knew my son’s determination to wear contacts for sports due to previous conversations during regular eye exams.
