BEST PARTS: It’s been 6 months since I started my transformation with Jen at NutritionRx, and the biggest difference compared to other dietitians is her focus on mindset and my relationship with food. Instead of strict meal plans, calorie counting, and rigid rules, Jen helped me understand how I eat, why I eat, and how to make changes that actually fit my real life. I’m very grateful I found her, because that was exactly what I needed after so many failed attempts with traditional diets. POSITIVE WINS: In these 6 months, I’ve lost 6% body fat, which for me means almost 20 lbs of fat. The most impressive part is that I didn’t cut out all the foods I love – I kept eating everything I wanted, but in a much more balanced and conscious way. I'm not normally one to write a review but my mom and I had such a great experience with Emily that I really wanted to share it. My mom has had worsening hair thinning for many years. She's not one to be too concerned about what others may think but her hair loss has been leaving her increasingly self conscious lately. She asked for my help and I found Emily. What an amazing person Emily is. From the moment I reached out to her on her website she was kind, knowledgeable and seemingly excited to help us. Based on the pictures I sent her and what I told her about my mom and what she was looking for, she ordered at least 4 wigs and toppers to have in salon for my mom to try at her consultation. She made my mom feel so comfortable. She asked questions to figure out what exactly she was hoping to achieve and was honest and genuine about her professional opinion on the state of her hair and what would work for her. Instead of selling my mom an expensive wig or topper, she introduced us to an inexpensive option (hair fibers) AND she cleaned up and shaped my mom's hair in the back. She did all of this in our consultation without any expectations of payment. My mom and I are so grateful to Emily for suggesting the option that best suits her based on who she is and her lifestyle.

I've been going to Alton for a year, after a couple of years going to a larger, more visible business. It's always been friendly and efficient. I phone before coming, and I've never had a wait. I'm not a connoisseur of barber shops; I'm writing the review particularly to alert readers to the fact that the Yelp reviews are all old. Val is currently the only barber working there. The negative reviews (and many of the positive ones as well) are not relevant to the current operation.

I was also running late and they offered to stay 15 min behind close and make sure my nails were perfect. The hand massage was also so good. This made my day, thank you :)

I've been to Tinailery maybe 5 or 6 times between their older location and now at their newer Brookline location. I've also had attempts at Nail Art at some other local businesses, or and Tinailery has consistently given the best results. They have a large number of polishes available so they can achieve the desired color, but also they have a large amount of foil, gems, tools and tricks to achieve whatever nail art I bring their way from Instagram. I definitely recommend!
I had a manicure here last week. The nails look good, but the polish started chipping after about 10 days.

Michelle at Biyoshi is so amazing that even though I moved to the North Shore 10 years ago, I still drive down to get my hair cut by her. The cuts are not only incredible, they grow out so well that I can go much longer in between cuts. This week I got my hair highlighted for the first time. Showed her a pic of celebrity hair and it came out EXACTLY the same as the picture.

I always leave Lavinia Borcau looking better than when I walked in. Lavinia does classic European facials with thorough extractions. Her facials are great for oily, clogged and acne prone skin because she really takes the time to throughly clean every pore. I always tell her she’s the best extractor in Boston!

When I first wanted to go get a Brazilian, I was coming in there with a lot of trauma and I was really worried about how this was going to go. The word on the street was that Karen Golden was the person you went to if you were coming into this from a place of trauma and the street wasn't kidding. If you're kind of a hot mess, you won't find a more compassionate person. She's not judgy, she's not unkind, and she makes the process of ripping your pubic hair out of your body as not-awful as it possibly could be. The room is clean and smells nice. Her assistant Lara is also as kind as can be. She takes cash or checks and everyone is understanding if you don't come by on the regular or have to cancel at the last minute (I disappear for months at a time: my income ain't what it used to be) but if you can only go to one place for the rest of your life for waxing, this is where you should go. She's the best.

She’s very much your second mom, always giving sage advice. I’ve been seeing her for years and had many large areas treated, all with great results. I went to Brookline Lock today, hoping to find a very small part for a Baldwin deadbolt cylinder. It’s called a tail piece. The one on my cylinder had broken, making the lock inoperable. It was my lucky day. Dante welcomed me and listened to my request. I had brought the cylinder with me.
Much to my amazement, he said that he might be able to help me. He consulted with a few of his coworkers and working together, they found the exact part that I needed. Dante installed it and said there was no charge. I thanked him and said,

Jim has helped with three projects now. Big or small he comes through with fast, extremely high quality work. This last one he and his team replaced our entire 100yr old slate roof (with new slate he sourced from the same quarry as the original), repointed the chimneys, all new sub roof, rubber roofs, copper work, new gutters, painting and stucco repairs. His esthetics are meticulous and thoughtful. He thinks about the budget, the history of the property and the client. He is easy to work with, clear, straight forward and professional. He gets the best tradesmen/women. He is worth every penny and he backs up his work.

The nurse and dentist were calm and considerate of the patient and treated him well.
From the couple of interactions I have had with Dr. Serrano so far, I think that she is a great periodontist who genuinely cares to provide the best treatment for you. She really takes her time to explain everything in great detail, and is not in a rush to over-advise on any operations. While I went to her for a special dental treatment, I think I will just continue going to her for my regular dental care.

I've been a patient here for almost 17 years, seeing both Dr. Lazowski and most recently Dr. Talar. The dentists provide the highest standards of care, whether during routine preventative visits or for serious, urgent treatment. The staff is wonderful, too, from the dental assistants to the hygienists and front office staff. I can't recommend this practice highly enough.
I appreciate my 3.5 year experience with Dr. Lisa at Village Family Chiropractic. In 2020 I needed a permanent fix to very odd semi-painful sensations in my arms that arose suddenly, 3-4 times a week. My health plan's remote (pandemic time) PT gave basic relief, but I needed to get to the root cause. Thankfully, Family Village Chiropractic was open throughout the pandemic, and those sensations have never returned. I continue to visit VFC for "tune-ups" and for specific pains (for my aging body!). I always get relief. Dr.Lisa is caring, and an excellent practitioner. Besides the adjustments, it's always a pleasure to spend time in her space, a spacious 1st floor Victorian front room, with bay window, bird feeders, lovely Persian rugs, comfy chairs and sofa, plus interesting friendly conversations. Nothing looks or feels harshly clinical/ medical, and the clients feel like individuals.
Zoe is the absolute best! I have never left a Google Review for something in my life but I felt that this needed to be shared. I started training for the Boston Marathon as a non-runner and was met with many aches and pains. Zoe took me in and helped me every step of the way. Dr. Andre is a real deal! He knows what he is doing, it's like he has a 6th sense about your body. Always helps me in acute cases and whenever I need an adjustment.

Miracle Worker. I came to Dr. Hirsey's office with spine popped out of place so bad I it hurt to breath. After my first adjustment I got up off the table and was pain free. She is not only the sweetest Chiro I have ever met she is by far the most experienced. Before coming into her office I also had trouble walking and it hurt to do anything like run or exercise, she noticed my pelvis had popped out and she was able to put it back together just by using special blocks. I walked out pain free. What really made me want to write this review on top of all of that was that she mentioned she has been fixing hips for "40 years." That let me know I have one of the best most experienced doctors I could ever possibly meet. I trust Dr.Hirsey and I would recommend any of my friends and family to be seen by her.

I am a pilates beginner and am so happy to have found this studio. I have been taking privates and classes with Siru, and she is so patient and helpful when explaining the movements. My core was shot after my last baby, and I can already feel an improvement. I've also noticed that I can more easily stabilize my core when doing my other workouts now. Traveling in and out Boston for eye surgery. Found Bambat on my first visit. The ambiance and decor is very relaxing. The massage and treatment is awesome. You leave feeling relaxed and like you woke up from a relax full sleep. Definitely recommend BAMBAT if you're visiting Brookline area.

Kate Garms Massage Therapy is an independently owned massage business with THE best massage I have ever had! Scheduling is a breeze through e-mail, which is responsive. Kate is a gifted, ethical, sensitive, intuitive and very special massage therapist and a true professional! Each massage is a work of art! The massage business is in beautiful Brookline and in the same building as a chiropractor, making it great to get an adjustment and a massage in the same day. Kate's space is clean, quiet, soothing, and she will work with any essential oils you bring, which is great since some massage therapists have a no scents policy. I highly recommend Kate for a state of the art massage, be it Swedish or deep tissue or prenatal. The only downside to Kate's business is that 1) she is booked well in advance, so don't even think about same day or even same week massages!, and 2) she works normal business hours and not super early, evening, or weekend hours. 3) As well, I do wish she had an online booking system. All so that I can get more massages with Kate! Thank you for being you, Kate! The world needs more massage therapists like you!

I've loved doing massage therapy work with Mara. I've had problems with motor skills and bodily discomfort my entire life (tied with neurodivergence and mental illness) and have had trouble finding ways to feel more comfortable and free. I've recently started seeing Mara and she has helped me detect where there's stress in my body and release it. She's very good at listening and adapting to both physical and verbal feedback, and creating a comfortable and safe environment.

I have been working with Eli Thompson, Boston Posture Center, almost weekly for several months to decrease the impact of scoliosis which I developed as an adult. My posture has improved significantly during this time. He let me know in advance that his structural integration work will help me, but I also have to work at home in order to see change. He gives me exercises to do at home and welcomes questions about them.
Others said that my muscles could be strengthened but I should not expect change in alignment. Eli said I could expect some change. I still have scoliosis, but I feel better and my posture and alignment are much improved.
This place is bang for the buck. Easy booking, Clean. Decent ambience and super skillful ladies that will deliver! My go to are Jessica and Zoe! All are hard working and deserving of your tips. Keep in mind cash only. And they posted recommended tips amount at the door. 1hr massage is now $45 and recommend to tip 20%.
I have been going to Paula for years. She is amazing at her craft and her sweet personality always brings so much brightness to your day. She customizes the massage to your needs and also does neck and facial massage for bruxism which not many places do. I like to get her buy 4 get 1 free packages. The value is too good to pass on.
Told Pam my hip bursitis was flaring up and she really focused on that area through massage and gentle stretching. I felt great afterwards. Finding parking during construction was a bit unexpected, but worked out.

Had pain in my shoulder, after one session made me feel great. No longer have the pain. Massuse was very nice and attentive. Went home and slept like a baby. If you have any issues or pain, they will take care of you.

BSM was recommended for PT after my knee meniscus repair. I told them I wanted to be ready to train asap for my climb in the Cascades later in the summer. Emily and Kyra were on board right away. Their commitment and professional dedication to my recovery was awesome. They pushed me to push myself with all of their focus, humor and kindness. The entire BSM staff are wonderful and would recommend them for any of your PT needs.

George got me back to ultramarathon training! He helped me with a stubborn hamstring issue that wasn't responding to other treatments like PT or massage. I was feeling lost with this nagging pain for months, and after a few visits I felt like me again. Now I'm training for my third 100 mile race.
Also, last year I went to George to help heal my ankle after I tore a ligament. He helped me get my mobility back and he was honest with me when I needed a break from treatments to let things settle down (because I was also dealing with an inflammatory illness at the time). I've learned a lot from him and I have complete faith in his practice. I'm so lucky to have East/West Sports Acupuncture in my corner so I can stay strong and run all the miles!
I've had the privilege of knowing Robert both on a personal and a professional level for several years now. He's a kind, amiable person, easy to get along with and he definitely is a highly trained acupuncturist. I've worked with Robert for various issues from elbow pain to back discomfort. Lately I've been seeing him for knee pain. The results of his treatments are always great and I'm comfortable putting myself in his very capable hands.

Dr. Hou’s diagnosis actually surprises me. He knows medicine, both Chinese and Modern.Treat you very warm! Every time when I finished acupuncture, I feel like wake up with full energy. He use small needle, which has no stimulation feeling!
Dr Tsay is the ONLY acupuncturist I trust. I have had debilitating back pain and weekly treatment for the last 5 weeks has been my only relief. He is simply amazing. I recommend him all day every day!!! I will continue weekly treatment as acupuncture is not only treatment but is huge in preventative care.
