One reviewer shared that after six months working with a dietitian named Jen, they experienced significant positive changes, including a 6% reduction in body fat (about 20 pounds) and a healthier relationship with food. Instead of eliminating favorite foods, they learned to eat in a balanced and conscious way, making lasting lifestyle changes. The supportive and non-judgmental approach helped them shift their habits and mindset, making the process sustainable long-term. They recommend working with Jen to those tired of rigid diets and guilt around food, emphasizing that this approach is a better fit for lasting health. Another client has been working with NutritionRx for two years, benefiting from creative explanations of complex nutritional concepts and lab results. They find the guidance as valuable as exercise and sports, highlighting the personalized and engaging approach of the team. Even when clients struggle to communicate their needs, the staff are described as cheerful, motivating, and adaptable, providing excellent support throughout their journey. Overall, NutritionRx by Alexis Beck is known for evidence-based, personalized, and compassionate nutrition services that promote a healthier relationship with food and lasting wellness solutions.
BEST PARTS: It’s been 6 months since I started my transformation with Jen at NutritionRx, and the biggest difference compared to other dietitians is her focus on mindset and my relationship with food. Instead of strict meal plans, calorie counting, and rigid rules, Jen helped me understand how I eat, why I eat, and how to make changes that actually fit my real life. I’m very grateful I found her, because that was exactly what I needed after so many failed attempts with traditional diets. POSITIVE WINS: In these 6 months, I’ve lost 6% body fat, which for me means almost 20 lbs of fat. The most impressive part is that I didn’t cut out all the foods I love – I kept eating everything I wanted, but in a much more balanced and conscious way. The biggest win has been the change in habits and mindset around food. Jen has been incredibly supportive during the whole journey, always listening, adjusting, and encouraging me without judgment. I’ve done Keto and other strict diets before – they can work in the short term, but they were never sustainable for me. This time, it feels different because it’s something I can actually maintain long term. ADVICE TO OTHERS: If you’re on the fence about investing in your health or unsure if this is right for you, I’d say: talk to Jen first. If you’re tired of strict diets, starting over on Monday, and feeling guilty around food, she’s the person to help you change that. Book an appointment with her before committing to anyone else. Working with Jen has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and my relationship with food, and I highly recommend her for whatever your case or goals might be.
This is my second year working with NutritionRX and I am thrilled with the benefits I notice from incorporating what I learn at my appointments into my daily life. My three per year, online appointments are fun because Jennifer has a creative approach to explaining complex nutritional concepts and lab work results. What Jennifer is teaching me is as important to me as exercise and sports.
Kirsten had the difficult task of trying to understand what i was looking for when I wasn't sure/didn't know how to word it/awful at opening up. She pivoted with each step of the way and has been such a great guide in all of this! Sad to her she's moving onto new things but wishing her well and the best of luck in everything she endeavors to do!! Don't fret though the other staff are just as cheerful and motivating to work with!!
