Federico exceeded all of my expectations. He is a great coach who always motives, keeps the work outs interesting and is very knowledgeable. I started noticing change after a few weeks of training and there is no way I would be able to achieve that at home. I feel stronger and have more energy. But if you’re here for that info, he’s unabashedly awesome. I’ve started to get compliments on my body since I started going here! I love asking questions about why we are doing certain things and he takes care to explain the science behind each movement and the short and long term plans for your journey.
Chris is also genuinely a fun person to be around and will make sure that you’re having a good time. I have recommended this place to my husband as well and our little class has grown in size :) No complaints!“

My boys (6 and 9) tried soccer, baseball, flag football, but nothing “stuck” until we discovered karate back in March 2021. Fast forward to two classes a week (soon to be 4 ?), 2 belt tests and now a competition team/weapons (all dull, nothing sharp here), my boys couldn’t be happier. Sensei Marie and Sensei Erin are wonderful with the kids and it’s a wide range of all ages and backgrounds. I can honestly say that karate has also taught my boys discipline, fitness, patience and self esteem. I highly recommend One Step Beyond!“

She always brings fresh, creative workouts to our sessions, so things never feel repetitive or boring. What really sets Susan apart is how thoughtfully she tailors each workout to my specific goals and needs.
After I broke my ankle, she helped me rebuild strength and improve my balance with targeted exercises that really made a difference. When I had a ski trip coming up and was nervous about getting injured, she customized my training to help me feel confident and strong on the slopes. And right now, she’s helping me get ready for a surf and yoga retreat I’m taking with my daughter—I told her I didn’t want to embarrass myself, and she took that to heart with workouts that are both challenging and fun!

“I’ve been coming to this gym for about a year now, and it has completely transformed how I feel about fitness. Grayson has been my main personal trainer, and he’s genuinely exceptional — consistently prepared, incredibly knowledgeable, and always able to strike that perfect balance between pushing me and supporting me. He pays attention to the details, adjusts sessions based on how I’m feeling that day, and explains the “why” behind every movement. Training with him has made me stronger, more confident, and way more consistent with my routine than I ever thought I’d be.
I’ve also had a few sessions with Chi and Aidan, and each of them brings something unique to the table. Chi, who’s also the owner, deserves a special mention. He’s incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cares about every person who walks in. You can feel that the community and atmosphere here come directly from his leadership and personality.
The gym is clean, welcoming, and never overcrowded. Workouts are tailored, effective, and actually enjoyable. After a year here, I genuinely look forward to training and feel better than ever.

I have seen a few others using equipment that allowed me to learn how to use them. I end each visit with either HydroMassage or the standard massage chair.I haven't been in the locker room or downstairs free weights. Someday,I will venture around.I find it a relaxing, no pressure experience.“

Last year, before I got into my in-season sports, she was able to set up and take us through a workout even before even getting her personal training certification. Recently, I’ve had the ability to work with Madeline now that she’s gotten her certification. I’ve seen a very impressive shift since working out with her before. Madeline is very good about focusing on my exact needs being an athlete. She is great about giving me encouragement, staying personable, and keeping high energy throughout the entire workout. When I voice any concern, like a strain or pain, she is able to quickly adjust the workout in order to accommodate. Madeline is also very good at giving me slight adjustments not only during workouts, but after workouts. It’s been a genuine pleasure to work with her and I’m excited to continue to do so.“
