“After a bad storm and our ceiling leaking again, it was time to commit to getting our roof fixed or replaced. I was set on receiving multiple quotes but from the moment Susan picked up the phone I had a feeling which company we were going with, regardless of pricing. Susan in the office is fantastic - responsive, informative and so kind. I was told that Paul would give me a call to set up a time to look at it and give a quote. A couple days later (or that same day, I don’t remember lol) an employee was in the area and they asked if he could come look at our roof. He got up there, took pictures, explained that we could repair but suggested replacing. We were provided quotes for both which we appreciated, as the other companies wouldn’t even attempt repairing. We obtained funds and Susan sent over the website to choose our roof color - even dropped samples off the same day! We knew scheduling was a week or two out but got a call on 9/17 that someone had postponed, and we just had our roof done yesterday 9/18 ? Crew lead Joe was the best! Helpful when I needed to leave the home and return, kept me posted on progress throughout the day. The team was courteous and did a wonderful job. Cleaned up twice over and we were left with a beautiful roof! I would recommend Gen-Ex Construction to every one of my friends and family members. Not a lot of companies seem to know how to properly handle the job. Not only did Fiji know their stuff but they were great about the entire process. “Worked mainly with the owner's son on getting our roof done. He was very friendly and responsive to communication. Same goes for the office staff. They were a pleasure to deal with and helpful navigating things with insurance and mortgage companies. They accommodated my specific requests for the gutters even though they had to specially make some pieces for us. Only thing negative I can say is the length of time it took to complete the work, but that was due to the break on exterior work over the winter months.“

“I recently called Cezar’s Construction to look into tearing off my roof and replacing it, do to age and insurance telling me they want a lot more money to insure the house (do to age of roof). I saw Cezar’s sign in front of someone I know close by. I stopped to ask about completed job. He told me he was highly impressed with the job Cezary & crew did. He came over with many color samples to look at. He and his crew did an excellent job with no mess left behind. His price was also good. He also came by 2 days after job was completed and do to a tree branch falling and putting 2 holes in my siding he was able to repair them with some xtra siding I had and didn’t charge me. “I hired Karol to replace some siding and windows. I really liked his attention to detail that is often hard to find. He provided a very detailed initial estimate, checked all the materials when they got delivered and made sure all the detailed steps got done correctly.

For the siding project they replaced existing cedar with Hardie boards / LP trim. They added some additional foam insulation to a couple bay windows that had always been cold because of the large amount of wood framing on the corners. They were very good about adding aluminum or copper flashing to every spot that needed it even though the existing cedar had basically none of what it was supposed to have. They left me with all of the extra materials from the project that I wanted so I have plenty of replacement wood / caulk / paint available if I ever need it.

For the window project they helped me change window configuration and replaced all interior trim and sills as well. They insulated the frame gaps from both inside and outside with foam which was nice. They were about 20% cheaper for the same windows than the popular Libertyville window retailer I also got a quote from, and Karol was personally on site for most of the job which you also don't get with a lot of contractors.“

Clean up was on point, communication with them is better than with any other company I've dealt with in years. They also have a handyman that came and took measurements of my ceiling which needs to be painted from the leaky skylights. Again, very professional and answered all my questions!
