He did an excellent job of notifying me of his expected arrival time, thoroughly explaining the cause of the malfunction, explaining the pro's/cons of a band-aid cost effective solution vs a more expensive long term solution, and being transparent about the cost of materials and labor.

“My mother used Temp Controllers for all heating and cooling needs of her house (in Chicago) for many years, and she always spoke with appreciation for Steve Cuffan's work. Steve always did a great job (even working in a hot attic in August), and was also polite and personable.

I recently needed to call Steve regarding the cooling system. Although the AC system was near the end of a 5 year warranty, Steve responded quickly and did not hesitate to honor the warranty. It turned out the AC system he had installed (nearly 5 years ago) was fine, and I was just ignorant of the circuit breakers. But Steve was very helpful - he checked everything, taught me where all the relevant controls are and how to change the air filter. AND he also fixed a latch In the attic so that it would be easier for me to go up there to change the filter- - this was above and beyond service!
