Also very nicely explain what they are doing if asked. Repeatedly have done small fixes at no additional cost to prevent larger problems. Have not used them for larger repairs or replacements, but they will be my first call when I do.“
“My AC went out on a Thursday, early evening. I left a message, received a call-back to let me know someone would be here the next day between 11-2. Technician arrived before 11:30. I needed full HVAC replacement. They had the units on Tuesday and arrived by 8:30 AM. The two technicians were great! Worked diligently and cleaned up everything. Made sure the units were working properly before they left. Job was complete by 3:00 that afternoon. I would HIGHLY recommend Reinhold Heating & Cooling!“

“I was in the market for a complete new HVAC system. I went through about 6 different companies and quotes and some were quite outrageous, while some companies I’m not sure knew really what they were doing. So I reached out to an old friend from back in the day (Andy), as I remembered him being a HVAC service technician. He gave me some great advice and eventually put me in touch with their sales rep (Jason). Jason walked me through each step during an install process, and eventually sent the information off for a proper and down to the dollar quote from (Robin).The quote was almost unbelievable. It was roughly half the overall cost as some of the other companies I interviewed. It was an offer we couldn’t pass up. A little less than a week later was install day, and I had 3 service vehicles outside my home 30 minutes early, just waiting to be on time! Jason my sales rep stopped by to make sure everything went off without a hitch and that his workers had everything they needed to start the day. Their vehicles were nice and clean and the technicians showed up well represented and in clean uniforms. So much so, they even got the attention from a neighbor and was able to get her a quote too! Before I knew it, these guys were down right putting in the work. At one point there were probably 5 techs here working at the same time. Eight hours later and the job was complete. We did an extensive walk through with our two main services techs (Mike and Jason), and couldn’t believe the attention to detail they provided us. Everything was plumb, level, and square, and the sheet metal work was superb! These gentlemen definitely knew what they were doing. We are extremely excited to have this top of the line system in our home, but even more pleased to have had it installed properly by true professionals of the trade. “Writing a thorough review because it is what helped me to pick this company, and maybe it will help reassure others they are making the best choice.Earlier this year, my parents' AC started malfunctioning in the house I grew up in. With much else on their plates, I decided this was one thing I could help them with. With a decidedly subpar experience with a company sent out by their home warranty, I did some research and made a short list of local companies that seemed to have the best reviews. Smart House was on that list, and due to their clear pricing for a diagnostic evaluation earned our initial business.Matt came out to the house and did a thorough workup, explaining in detail that our system was low on a type of coolant that was expensive because it was no longer made, and that even refilling it wouldn't guarantee that it wouldn't leak out or that our aging system wouldn't go bad from something else shortly after. He took time to answer many questions in a way that was clear and understandable. Without any pressure whatsoever, he went ahead and took measurements for a potential replacement just to make sure things could proceed as quickly as possible when we decided what we wanted to do. He further answered questions about what to expect with newer units and what it would entail to replace it.My parents then independently got a couple more quotes on their way to deciding on an AC/Furnace replacement. By all accounts, Matt was the most professional of the specialists they encountered and SmartHouse and their bid were the most clear as well as best value.Even as we proceeded, the office staff was top-notch. Jane was able to answer questions as well as help navigate that while things started under my name, it was for my parents' house and to get their sign-off as well.They were able to fit us in for the replacement faster than expected. Matt and Luke replaced the furnace and AC in a full-day job. Even things we had been worried about were already well thought out and addressed- for instance, the furnace needing a new in/out vent that we didn't previously have which they placed in a discreet area with an appropriate cover.All this was done in mid August, just in time for our brutal heatwave, and I can say confidently the new system tackled it with ease.From beginning to end, SmartHouse was an extremely professional and friendly company to work with. Every step of the way things were explained with ease and never once did they make us feel pressured. “Right before the HOT holiday weekend, our outside AC condenser unit stopped working. Called Inman here in Columbia, IL at 10am. Very kind lady took my info and informed me a field tech will reach out to me asap. Just 15 minutes later I received a call from Craig to confirm info and he informed me he will be at my house no later than 1pm. Got a phone call from Craig again at 12:25 to tell me he's on his way. By 1pm he had diagnosed root cause and repaired unit. Wife and I were "wowed" by Inman's professionalism including a fare price for parts & labor. Thanks, Craig! We have used Hank Vasill in the past (since he installed the unit for the previous owner) and always have been treated fairly and promptly. “We have 2 separate units for our house, one in the basement and one in the attic. Our upstairs heater ran non-stop over night and we couldn't get it to stop. We had another company come in, say it was fixed and charged us an exorbitant amount of money. Days later is was broken againDwayne and his employee worked for hours into the evening to get us set to a workable point until he could come back the next day with a new part. He explained what the other company had done; I showed him our invoice only to find out that the other company charger us $99.00 for a $4.00 part.Needless to say, DOW is the absolute BEST Heating and Air Conditioning service! Barb went way above and beyond to locate an alternative supplier for part needed for my furnace repair. Without her effort, it would have lagged 4 - 6 winter weeks to arrive due to current supply chain challenges. She didn't give up looking after two days and finally located one - then called and prompted the supplier to physically verify their inventory, so that my house could get its heat restored quickly.
