My husband and I were both patients of Dr. Greco's recently and had minor surgeries on our lips. She and her staff were kind, professional and skilled, with clear post-op instructions and supplies. It is not my first visit with Dr. Greco, but it was because of both my daughter and my previous visits that made me very comfortable returning. I was visibly terrified, but she was patient and gentle and I am so glad I had this procedure done. Dr. Pete is an excellent chiropractor. My wife and I both see him regularly, and we have been very pleased with the care we receive. He is professional, knowledgeable, and highly skilled, and his treatments have helped improve our mobility and overall health. He takes the time to understand what is going on and explains things clearly. On top of all that, he is a genuinely nice guy. We highly recommend him.

Great place to visit and pick up some pieces of local wood from Hawaii! They have pieces cut to suitcase friendly sizes or can cut boards to the length you'd like. Definitely going back each time we visit to grow our collection of Hawaii woods.
2025 update: Still a great team at Kamuela! Helpful at identifying woods in the 'suitcase sized' woods.

I had the most amazing massage experience with Kaiulani. She was highly recommended by a friend who is a longtime client. I’m so grateful for that, because this was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I especially appreciate the extra time she spent talking with me prior to the massage, to really get a feel for my needs and former body injuries- it was a fantastic experience overall. I felt so great the next day, and still do! Oftentimes after a massage, I feel a little bruised and sore the next couple days and my muscles tighten back up- but I felt none of that! I even told my husband I felt so refreshed and even less tired! My problematic areas (shoulder and back muscles) are more relaxed and haven’t had any headaches since. I also truly appreciate the extra health and safety precautions Kaiulani takes. I am only here on the island for a short time, but I would come back regularly if I could and recommend her to everyone who wants to experience a true healing for their body.

This wonderful lady is the most tender handed waxer I have ever had the privilege to help remove my hair. Ripping out our pubic hairs is never going to be easy, but Desirée has mastered a soft handed technique I have not come across before. Very methodical, and high attention to which specific way the hairs grow. This ensures the least amount of pain possible, and makes the entire experience much smoother to endure. She also has a high vibing spirit that is entirely noticeable. People of her caliber always have the tendency to make your day feel brighter ?

Treatments are somewhat expensive but well worth it.

We came here for the Saturday farmers market. I picked up a brochure at the airport and I am so glad we went. People in our group bought food to eat from the Big Island food truck and the Red Barn food truck. The food was delicious and we enjoyed sitting under the shade trees at tables while people and chicken watching. We left with fresh eggs, local beef, homemade focaccia and boule, fresh produce, and some of the most delicious honey I have ever tasted. Loved meeting and talking to local people and supporting local producers.
Well, I won, so there’s that. Communication was some times lacking but things were getting taken care of. I just felt out of the loop often. Robert would give advice, but would also allow me the freedom to go against his advice if felt strongly enough about my position. Always very professional.

We were nervous about finding a new tax guy as our previous one that we used for twenty years retired. The staff at Kamuela tax pro helped make the transition be more comfortable.In the past we used another nationwide chain block and I wasn't comfortable.We discovered this year as Randy did a review of previous year taxes and discovered mistakes and corrected them. He also helped me get my 1099 taxes up and running as well. This service was expensive. However, Randy has legal expertise as he is a lawyer and he has the accounting expertise.

Chelsea really emphasizes customer satisfaction! And I like the way she cuts my hair! The only thing keeping me from a 5☆ rating is the time constraint SC puts on the service providers i.e. stylists! Since I have a full head of hair, I get the idea that 20 minutes just isn't adequate time to cut my hair, although Chelsea does give it her best effort
What a beach. The renovated rooms are stunning, and same goes for the fitness center and spa facilities. That’s probably where the clear positives end for me.
The rest is a mix of FYIs and no-gos, which hits differently when they’re charging near-Four Seasons prices. Service is on par with a Westin, the adult pool closes at 5pm, shuttle service is not on time, and Moana is astonishingly expensive for what is pretty average food. The clientele is a mix of 80+ year old regulars giving you the side eye and your standard Marriott Bonvoy crowd. There’s no real programming here, you just come for the beach and maybe the luau if that’s your thing (very old school white people resort energy). Beach equipment like paddleboards and snorkel gear is complimentary, which is nice in theory, but capped at one hour which feels a little stingy at this price point. And no beach chair setup? At a resort charging well over $1200 a night? Sure.
I get that they’re trying to reinvent themselves, and hopefully they get there.
